I would think they are not split evenly. Rough guess would be across all academic domains 60-80 total. I believe some sports and CCA could be only 1 to a few each.
Yes it’s just a very rough computation to get a feel …….
Like my son said in the rugby CCA , there’s only 1 DSA boy in his team . Either RI didn’t offer much CO for rugby in 2020 (due to covid) , or it could also be those offered CO taking up other school’s offers ….
No one knows for sure . Just nuggets of info here and there to try to get a feel … -

Your son's short-listed number \"660\", is it
Hi,
My son is shortlisted for English Selection test, any tips on the type of questions for the selection test?
Btw, his number is 660.
Thanks in advance!
1) #660, out of all short-listed candidates for ALL the domain in RI, including (Academic + Sports + Performance Arts + Leadership) domain ?
Or
2) #660, out of those short-listed candidates for one single \"English\" Academic domain only, nothing to do with (Sports nor Performance Arts nor Leadership) candidates whatsoever ?
Or
3) #660, out of those short-listed candidates for Total 4 Academic domain, comprising (English + Maths + Science + Mother tongue) candidates ?
Since #660 showed up on your son's email, can call up RI admin, clarify this #660 : is out of what constitution ?
Because
If this #660 is out of Total shortlisted candidates for \"English\" single Academic domain only, it means ... RI is extremely competitive, in comparison to how many English COs offered, eventually? -

in RI -
per Academic domain COs like (Maths & Science), are more than that, for each of the Sports COs.
cannot be 6 so miserable for Maths, nor another 6 so few for Science.
Amongst the 3 Academic domain -
English COs are the least !
Science COs : more than English COs.
Maths COs : the most, more than Science COs.
As for each of the Sports domain CO : less than 5 COs, is possible.
My son’s class has 2 EL DSA . Don’t know if other classes also has EL DSA students .
Heard from the informal grapevine that RI groups academic DSA kids into each class by domains . -

Don't think you can think about it in terms of numbers. Among the shortlisted there are already those who have been invited by RI to apply, and from what I hear the number of math COs is between 10 and 20. So it is highly competitive, and our DC can only try their best. All the best!
just curious about the probability of getting a CO of these shortlisted ones for RI? any number to share? -

Yeah, agree. No one knows for sure and it probably ebbs and flows a bit from year to year (based on applicants and actual acceptance).

I've never been sure on the total RI academic since they don't have Infocomm/Robotics (possibly just take in a larger figure to math/science) and this is the first year they've had a MT (Malay, although this is probably somewhat limited in size too). If I had to guess, Math is a solid 20+ per year but I wouldn't bet the house on any specific number... -

Based on the last couple of years, it could be mid-July (or so) until RGS sends out the shortlisting notifications. Maybe this year will be sooner due to in-person tests, etc. But historically they have done an excellent job of keeping people on tenterhooks...wind1_19\" post_id=\"2071570\" time=\"1656060197\" user_id=\"94822:[quote=wind1_19 post_id=2071570 time=1656060197 user_id=94822]Following too

I was told that in one of the “mathy” class . About 15-18 kids are in RI Euler math talent programme n not everyone got in thru DSA .

So I think the RI math DSA is closer to 15 plus/minus (less than 20). Again , this is a guesstimate …. based on nuggets of info here n there .
