And I also need the man around for changing lightbulbs (my legs wobble when I climb ladders), fixing a leaking tap and choked basins.
I can do all that myself - don't need no man for that. :celebrate:

BUT man and cockroach (bats too I guess) must come together.

I’m quite good at catching roaches and killing them… not really afraid of them though…

I’m changing the light bulbs in the house too.

But I’m really bad with Iphone games - a gadget my hb spends a lot of his time on and I told him just yesterday that I am going to confisicate his Iphone soon if I think his usage is excessive.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. \"I'm going to bed.\" And he did...without another thought.

Given my house's ceiling, even on a ladder tip-toe, I also cannot change the bulb. I have to \"jagga\" even when my dh changes it cos it's high and dangerous. One tip off-balance will land crashing to the ground, no joke.

I like high ceiling so I don't think I can ever change the bulbs on my own even if I want to.

As for the cockroaches, I detest them so bad that I would smack them to death.....so no need to wait for DH....too late by the time he comes running.

Yr ds is only 4 mths, you've a long, long journey ahead of you, butterw. Consider getting a helper and if your dh dislike baby chores, get him to do housework instead. He has to do his fair share, right?

Though I was also a ftwm when dd was born, I gladly bathed, changed and enjoyed all the baby chores when I got back from work, to the extent of not allowing dh or the helper to do. I saw that as a way of bonding. The only chore I hated was mealtimes when she was a toddler, and that quickly became the helper's chore.
I know i have a long journey ahead which is why i'm freaking out. He does not do housework also. We've lived together for 4 years, he did not even wash the toilets ONCE. Of cos i do not mind taking care of my son, but it is very tiring because my son was extremely colicky, cried and cried, until my husband shouted back at him for crying so much. I cannot afford a helper. I do housework whenever i'm awake and have the energy...like when my son wakes up for milk at 3am. I'll be doing laundry or whatever at 4am. He knows he has to do his fair share but it is difficult because he was brought up where his mother did everything. My son was staring at me washing dishes one day while my MIL carried him and i was telling my son, next time grow up must learn how to do household chores also hor. My MIL quickly and loudly say, \"Aiyah, boys no need to do anything, just study hard and earn money\". It's no wonder my husband ended up like this. I've already trained my husband to wash his own underwear....and throw dirty laundry INTO the basket, not next to it. His lack of support and my MIL, are the reasons why i will not have #2! Amen....
