Yes my relative just rented a 30month period condo near the choice school and rented out her own condo, net net zero cost outlay. She moved to a baojiak school in phase 2c<1km.
Seeing the poll above, it seems like not as many parents are interested in getting priority in P1 registration? For those who voted Yes, would you move houses to be closer to your child's primary school? -

If I volunteer for 2 years in grassroots in a GRC Bishan-Toa Payoh (Toa Payoh East), because I live there, but want to apply for a pri school in GRC Bishan-Toa Payoh (Thomson), will they issue me a letter for Phase 2B in Thomson constituency? I am renting a house in Thomson only in 2024. I can’t volunteer in Thomson now, as it’s 4km from my current house in Toa Payoh East. -

We are staying within 1km of NYPS. We will try for phase 2C for my daughter. But in the event, that we did not get balloted in for phase 2C. I have been thinking to use her grandparent’s place in Sembawang to apply for phase 2CS for school in Sembawang. Then she will stay at Sembawang and taken care of by grandparents.
My question is: can I submit the declaration of grandparents address as a standby for 2CS first? Is there an issue if she gets into NYPS and MOE will think she is at Sembawang due to the declaration?

During P1 registration, NYPS will ask for both you and your spouse IC. Both address must tally, and make sure must be less than 1 km from NYPS, at the point of registration (NYPS), because Phase 2C (NYPS) will ballot for SCs residing less than 1 km.

If u show them an address that exceeded 1 km, at the point of registration in 2C, NYPS won't entertain.
If still in doubt, can u call up NYPS school admin directly, clarify first, before even start registering kid for Phase 2C P1 registration?
If talk about changing address in phase 2C Supplementary, wait for 2C to end first. -

Yes, my question is if we use Grandparent's address to register for Sembawang schools in Phase 2CS, when should I make the declaration of alternative child-care arrangement https://www.moe.gov.sg/primary/p1-registration/home-address?toggle-id=using-a-caregivers-address. There is also a deadline for making declaration, which is 29 July and we will be very late if we only do it after knowing results of Phase 2C on 10 August.

Also, we saw this 3 bullet points in the declaration, and point #2 says: child must be residing in that address now to declare. So we are not sure if we can make this declaration first and standby. Meanwhile, we register with our home address for NYPS in 2C, and pray for the best.
