Cry if you need to, rant and rave if you have to. Have someone to lean on if possible. This is something that one should not have to go through alone.

      My prayers are with you.

It is not easy being a caregiver and relied on by all for support; you are truly amazing!

Go find yourself a quiet corner, cry your heart out and after youโ€™ve done that, brace yourself for the challenges ahead.

I will pray for you and your family to pull through.

Be strong, and take good care of yourself.

          Good morning Insider,

Thanks for pre-alert on the $$$....

10 years ago when spouse had a heart attack....personal isurance already paid out...
So from then onwards no insurance wants to take my spouse policy...

Last year it was the company's insurance that took care of the medical bill...

          This year don't know... ๐Ÿ˜ž

For the medical bills part, basic medishield (premium of which is paid out of CPF medisave account) will cover part of the bills. if medishield is upgraded, almost all the medical bill will be covered.

              Dear dolphinsiah,

I'm sorry to hear the situation you are going through right now. The fear and worry you are feeling I'm sure is much more than what I am feeling for you right now.

You are and have been very strong indeed. I will keep you and your family my prayers. Anytime you need a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear and more support do come to us. Let us know how we can help. Do not feel any need to apologize.

Lucky the house already fully paid up...

Actually my plan was to retire at the age of 40 ....when the house was fully paid...

But now all this mishap....I think must work until die.... ๐Ÿ˜ข

I told my spouse at the most if we need $$$ , we shall have the house do a reverse mortage....

Then the kids won't have anything left when we died lor...

Yeah , before insurance payout....we must use our Medisave...Medishield...
Then within 3 months the insurance will remiburse back... ๐Ÿ˜

Do take good care of yrself, dolphinsiah so youโ€™ve the energy to take care of the entire family.

If you need info of Dr Ang Peng Tiam, do let me know. Heโ€™s been looking after my mum since March, and Iโ€™m confident that sheโ€™s making great progress.

Yes, Dr Ang often writes articles in AsiaOne. I have read a book by him too.

                        dolphinsiah,
Does your spouse have the basic medishield or any private SHIELD plan? This helps to cover some of the medical bills.

We all know once birth, death is confirmed. The kids learn lfie cycle; all living things grow, reproduce and then die.

Why we celebrate only birth and choose not to think about death?

                        Life is a journey.

I am not afraid of death but the process leading to death.

                        Take care.
