Any idea how many students got CO for RGS for each individual domain?

Also, can someone explain how WL works? Thx

People can make guesses as to the domain size but there is no fixed quota so it probably moves around a bit year to year. What domain are you looking at? People may be able to give a better guess based on that (or someone may know based on prior years).

If your child has a WL and she ranks RGS WL as first choice in the DSA preference submission then she may receive a spot in RGS when PSLE results are released (i.e. WL converted to confirmed place as long as score AL22 or better). Generally speaking, RGS will have ordered all students on the WL. If a RGS CO is given up (i.e. student has multiple COs and accepts another school's CO), then #1 on the WL will get in. If another RGS CO is given up, then #2 on the WL will get in. Etc, Etc.

            How Wait-list work ?

The greater the number of COs (RGS) given up, the greater is your chance of Wait-list being converted.

            The reverse, is also true.
The lesser the number of COs given up, the slimmer is your chance of Wait-list getting converted, unless you happen to be ranked #1 Top spot (inside the Wait-list)

AL5. Unclear if rounded up or rounded down, as MOE can no longer slice the cohort as finely as they could with 1 t-score point (260, 261, 262, etc).
Thanks. Did you happen to hear of any children that didn't get ESIS despite getting AL5? Just wondering how hard it is to get this.

I believe all (SC) AL5s received it.

I think last year it was one piece of data people were watching as it pertained to RI/RGS COP. However, given the lack of info on exactly how many people received it (relative to say ESIS = 261) it was hard to draw any firm conclusions (in addition to the other noise from exam strategies, choice preferences, and cohort performance). Nevertheless, in the end not much changed relative to the indicative COPs.

Not to worry. If missed out this round, there’s always another chance. Student can apply and go for a written test towards end of Y2 or beginning of Y3 (can’t remb exact timeline) Results will be released somewhere mid of Y3. If student passes, a letter of offer will be emailed to you. Fees paid for the 1st half year will be reimbursed back to student’s edusave account.

RGS Never fix this type of quota per domain, please !

                      Why ?

                      Ask yourself -

                      How to fix,
                      when EVERY year,
the quality of the DSA candidates differ, batch by batch!

I shared the bad news to my DD, asking her to read the email on her own. Want her to confrant all these and take some time to settle her feelings during this school hols time so that she can go back on track for her revision though not giving up hope on other schools results.
Congrats again to all parents/ children with successful CO/WL and best wishes to all in PSLE. Final lap already. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
2022 PSLE coming up in 3 weeks' time, from today. END of Sept coming fast ! Go, get your daughter to focus and do well.
