face mask no longer compulsory, in schools. However, for one own safety, still safer to put on the face mask, esp in National exam condition, where your child still got a few more papers to go, until next week, last paper.

If let's say, your child no need to take any Higher Mother tongue, that means Science will be his or her last paper to sit for, next week. So if your kid really find it uncomfortable, prefer to remove face mask to breathe easier, perhaps wait until the last paper next week, then remove mask, is safer.
Important thing is,
because you all have taken so many months, prepared so hard just to take this Psle National exam, come so far already to reach this stage, better play safe, until the very end. Just bear with it, for a few more days. Only a few days to hang on to. Soon, Psle will be over and you all will be laughing with joy and celebrating , \"Hip, Hip Hurray ! Finally, is over and done with. NO more Psle, for the rest of my life \" -

There’s no need to be so rude to a fellow psle mum.

Some schools the P6 kids are all wearing for safety. Hardly anyone takes off unless really uncomfortable. -

Just stating facts....they may be wearing but it's a choice. So not compulsory. So ofcos can take off if its uncomfortable....

Anyway, I think we're all undergoing stress. Feels like we're all taking the PSLEs too. LOL!
A bit of give and take (on both sides) will help.
To answer the original question, your child can remove his/her mask. But, some kids prefer to keep theirs on. No obligation if they don't want to but it may be better to ensure that they minimize any risk of COVID at least until after the exams. But it's the student's decision
