My ex-maid sms-ed me last night to ask about the flooding in Orchard Rd !!! She couldn’t believe it could happen in the shopping district.

Was in a cab on my way to office around 9:30. I think b4 the floods. But so much water on the road that it was splashing on to the windscreen and the visibility was very bad. I was seriously worried that ther could be an accident. Even the taxi driver was worried 😛

Next time heavy rains then take MRT 🙂

yes the rain was very heavy, visibility was at worst stage about 50+ m. And when the car on the opposite side of road splashed water on the windscreen, momentarily zero visibility.

MRT is not a good option too as there will be massive human jam at the exits of the MRT stations.

I kena that last wed, I had to slow down as fast as I can - safely (sounds very odd, but it's true)....twas very scary becos i cannot see if the car ahead is far away enough or what he is doing; and worried at the same time about the car behind me.

Important important, keep a safe distance at all times!!

Media has to, auntieM else what is PUB gonna say this time? More stuck leaves causing the back flows 😞

Took DH to airport and then took the car to work. Clocked 30 kph on average from Big Splash to Keppel on ECP/AYE  visibility really zero.

One friend sez her MPV nearly kenna blown away when she travelled on the viaduct. Crosswinds?

Question is why only SOME people put their hazard light on?

Is it due to the Marina Barrage? Or is it taboo topic?

I am shocked by the stomp pixs on first post here, just saw it today. The timing too coincidental. Never happened before right? So how can a few leaves in drain caused such huge floods? :imdrowning:
