ACS (Tengah) primary, from 2030
-
With its enlarge cohort size and its massive appeal as an prestigious GEP school with affiliation ACS barker sec may not be able to handle the large cohort of students promoting to secondary school. perhaps an acs coed school make pop up in tengah in the not too distant future.

Swimming is one of the CCAs that many ACS boys excel in.
wonder if this school is going to have some fancy facilities like swimming pool etc? I think ACS T could potentially become one of the top primary school in Singapore..
Probably, will ask the old boys + the newly enrolled students, to donate $ generously to the school, towards building an Olympic sized swimming pool there inside Tengal premises, for the convenience of students there to take their swimming lessons within the school compound, instead of waste time travelling somewhere else to swim. -

So far, all the Methodist denomination schools, have their own affliation.

PLMGS primary (Girls' school) -
is affliated to Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' Secondary.
MGS primary -
is affliated to Methodist Girls' Secondary.
Fairfield Methodist primary (co-ed) - is also affliated to own Secondary school.
Geylang Methodist primary (co-ed),
is also affliated to their own Secondary school.
So, is quite odd / weird,
to hear that the Tengal girls, no affliation to any Secondary school.
============================
Although the primary school girls in 2030 ACS Tengal no affliation at all,
but think
In time to come, as time passes, probably one fine day, this will change. Probably, there is a high chance that ACS Barker Secondary school ONE day in future may turn co-ed, so that the Tengal girls also can enjoy some sort of affliation, to some school. -

highly possible as the acs girls should easily outperform many acs boys.

and acs should not compare to NYGH cop because nygh is IP and cop is AL7. whereas ACS express is perhaps AL2x -
People will rush to buy Tengah (BTO + condo)
Prices of Tengah homes near ACS (Primary) could rise 10% to 15%: Property analysts

to entice potential new home buyers (parents), divert hdb purchase traffic from Whampoa / Bendeemeer / Boon Keng / Queenstown, Redhill, Bukit Merah to go & buy Tengah BTOs instead. That is, dangle a carrot, right in front of these potential new hdb applicants (buyers).
Those rich, elite ACS old boys who already owned property inside the centralized city area (eg. Novena / Newton, etc) will much prefer to stay put, where they are. They will prefer, choose to enrol their sons into ACS (Junior), instead of to far away remote ACS (Tengah). So, what do u think, can possibly happen ?
Forsee that
in time to come, one fine day in future, ACS (Junior) will be \"asked / requested\" in high demand by many old boy fathers , to offer the same gifted programme inside ACSJ, too.
At the same time, those \"haolian\" heartland dwellers in Tengah, can boast that their kids are studying in elite schools.
There will exist two distinct campus : one located inside the city, the other outside city, remote. This is the model, they trying to build. -
for those who can afford it they can buy their parent a home at tengah to enjoy the 1km advantage. An important consideration even fathers are old boys.
I think ACS J may not have the cohort size to produce sufficient GEPer calibre students to warrant to turn acs barker to a GEP school. Doubt MOE under Lawrence Wong leadership as PM will allow that to happen.
Tuition center along Bukit Timah belt and Novena may potentially take a hit as well as there will be a large pool of well to do families potentially moving out of the vicinity -
Quite agree that bukit batok will be beneficiary to this news, between Tengah and Bukit Timah

Under MOE Primary 1 Phase 2 registration policy -
Presumably what you have stated is the current policy?
Extracted from CNA:
Cohort sizes at the Barker Road ACS (Primary) site will gradually fall, the ministry noted. Tentatively in 2033, the school will consolidate with ACS (Junior) at the nearby Winstedt Road, and operate under the ACS (Junior) name.
The new ACS (Junior) will then operate from both campuses before shifting all operations to the Barker Road site around 2039, said the Education Ministry.
From 2033 onwards, ACSP barker will consolidate with ACSJ. how will the separate alumni policy work then.
This part is not clearly spelt out.
Only those in ACSP will know or find out eventually. Not for me to worry abt.
only when u yourself have studied in the ex (former) primary school before, then only can u (father / old boy) send your son back to the same school. You are Not allowed to anyhow jump primary school, just to enrol your K2 son for P1.
In other words,
1) say, if your ex (former) primary school is ACSJ, then u can only enrol your son back into ACSJ.
Cannot jump school to enrol your son into ACSP, which u have never ever studied in ACSP before, in the first case.
2) similarly, if your ex primary school Is ACSP, then can only enrol back your son into ACSP, cannot jump school to enrol your son into ACSJ, because you (father) have never studied in ACSJ, before.
If not sure,
can confirm with what / how Phase 2 (old boys + alumni) Primary 1 registration rules work (function), in Singapore.
The only exception Is
for these 5 \" full \" schools only,
ie.
(Maris Stella + Catholic High + CHIJ St Nick + MGS + SCGS ) primary.
OR
another possible scenario, is -
say, (example)
you have studied before in ACS (Junior) for the initial first three years, from P1 to P3.
Then, at end of P3, u are offered GEP. So, u transferred across into ACSP, starting P4 (GEP). Under this rare scenario, means u have studied in both (ACSJ + ACSP) primary schools, before.
But,
ACSP + ACSJ,
none of these two is a full school.
So, what happen ?
When parents register for their K2 son (aged 6) in July 2029, born in 2023,
for 2030 \"turn of a new decade\" Primary 1 intake -
3) if you are a father, an old boy from ACS Junior, no issue
Because
ACS Junior Is still operating, functioning inside the city area.
4) if u are a father, an old boy from ACS Primary -
a) if u stay in the west,
eg.
staying In Bukit Batok or nearby Tengah, also no issue.
b) But if u (old boy) are staying in the east
Eg.
staying far away in
Bedok, Simei, Tampines, Tanah Merah, East Coast, Telok Kurau, Frankel Avenue, Still road, Marine Parade, Kembangan, Eunos, Paya Lebar, Kallang, Bendemeer, Aljunied, Geylang Bahru, Whampoa, Balestier, Pasir Ris, Ang Mo Kio, Yio Chu Kang, Hougang, Kovan, Sembawang, Yishun, Buangkok, Sengkang, Punggol,
you will have an issue,
because Tengah is very far.
Even if u (parent) are driving a Merz / BMW one way trip to drop off your son at ACS (Tengah) in the morning say, around 6.45 am onwards,
then,
how about the return backward journey from school back home, when ACS school is dismissed around 1.30 pm to 1.45 pm, and you and your spouse are both working in the office, can't possibly fetch your son home yourself ?
If say, let your son take school bus home, well, it will be a very long and tiring journey back, so far away from Tengah. And provided, let's assume that there is still school bus availability, to your house located far in the east. What if, there is no school bus service, to your house ?
For older ACSP boys,
say, P4 and above, ie. 10 to 12 years old, perhaps they are big (old) enough to take bus from Tengah to go home + change MRT, by themselves. Even then, the journey home itself is going to be long and tiring. But, what if your son is only Primary 1, aged 7 so young ?
If caught in this dilemma,
may consider give up going ACSP (Tengah), enrol your son in some other nearby school instead or consider buying another property in Tengah, assuming u have deep pocket ($). The latter option, if chosen, will definitely push the sales price up in Tengah, be it hdb / condo / landed. -

For scenario, acsp alumni living in central and wish to apply acsj instead, i wld think the board wld have thought through and covered.
Will there be eg. ACSP in new Paya Lebar town in future? Lol.
For scenario acsj to gep, yes, the parents have to decide between staying in ACS gep or switch to NY pri or another sch. But it's not ideal of course.
