Actually I feel in this case the child should just pack lunch and eat in the school. Cause normally they will reach school between 11.45 to 12 noon. So technically they have half an hour or so to eat.
 So she takes brunch? Does she still eat lunch when she reach sch or just wait for recess? Geez..JonC:
Last year, it used to 11.30am at my house.
This year, its 10.45am. -
Lucky thing is next year will be morning.
She has early lunch, pack some snack for her to take either noon or teabreak. Sigh. -

MCS any day better than CHIJ- Toa payoh. English dept is really good & latest addtion couple of years back has really helped this convent school. Most of Girls from B class( 40 students) go to better( May not be the best one...!) Secondary schools.Hi Mummies,
Please kindly give me yr guidance.
I have to enrol my gal to P1 next year (attending on year 2012) and I am deciding to get her in either CHIJ (not much high chance under phase 2C) or MCS under phases 2C supp (if fail under phase 2C at CHIJ).. Can I get advise if I do not do any PV, how high the chance can i get into phase 2C supp based on past years applications?...
How is MCS teaching on holistic?.. Will there be any bible study etc?
So far I noticed that thr no need for balloting based on the past history.. and why they did not take in 100% applications under phase 2C? sorry am blur.. -
Hi all,
Need your guidance
Am looking at MCS as 1st choice for my gal next yr P1 as I used to be from the sec school batch. My only concern is that she may get really tired as I am staying in Yishun. Will distance matter? My son is studying at the so call best sch in Yishun but nothing impressive nor worth anything to talk. My gals are definitely not going that sch though is much nearer. I am looking at MCS and another neighbourhood sch in Yishun who has proven results and not self-declared like my son's school.
Looking forward to your expertise

Hi KJBBB
I’m in exactly the same shoes as u. I’m also an old girl, both pri and sec who lives in Yishun and will be registering my girl for P1 next year for 2012 intake.
I’m also concerned about the distance cos I’m sure she’ll be in the bus for at least an hr looking at the distance. I’m also considering St Nichs since it’s nearer but chances of getting in a close to zero at phase 2C.
Mind sharing which sch is your son currently in? I prefer a girls sch for my daughter hence didn’t take into consideration the schs in Yishun.
Cheers! -

For the past several years, Marymount had more than enough places to accommodate those registering in phase 2C.Hi! any mummies out there registering at MCS in 2010 ,2nd August?

So IMO, you shouldn't worry too much. -

Many students come from Yishun. there is direct bus 851 ... i always see morning bus full with 'Green color' uniform. It should take about 40 mins... Going back should be even less time in afternoon....Hi all,

Hi DadofGirl
You mentioned your daughter is in the 3rd best class. My daughter is currently in P2. I understand the best class is B and 2nd best is D.
How do we tell which is the 3rd best class?
Also, you mentioned you daughter started to turn things around with the help of the teachers at P4 and manage to go to a good secondary school. Care to share with us your good experience with this school please ?
Thanks
