yes i agree BM is much better than formula. when i was pg with DD2, the condition wasn’t very stable. so gynae asked me to start weaning off feeding my DD1. She was about 18-20 mths then when she also felt the taste kinda differ. Now whenever I giving DD2 BM she want to suckle too must doesn’t want to drink. So she’d only suckle for about 1 min. I miss those time when i could feed her for 15 mins… haiya…

When DD1 was on exclusive BM she almost never fall sick before. As she was quite fussy with food, my PD suggest she takes formula milk. Now i hv lots of BM, my PD also encourage me to give her my milk. I’m now mixing with formula to cover the BM taste. She wouldn’t want pure BM now. haha… ironical when she had drunk it for coming 2 years.

I expressed throughout for my 2nd child…then for the ‘extra’ I put in a separate bottle. My son was 5 and in K1 then. Every morn, I would put a little bm to mix with son’s Milo. He didn’t get any cough or flu when he started school in Jan.

Usually he would have cough or running nose when school reopens. This went on for about 9 months until he found on that ‘oily white substance’ was bm and refused to drink anymore. His immunity was really strong.

verified with my pd. she also said my girl will not put on weight cos milk is not the main food and she'll be eating other food.

Good that you verified with your pd. I have three kids and my first has drank extra BM when the second one is born and my first and second ones drank the extra BM when the third one is born. They didn't put on more weight then usual.

                🙂

I fed my 3 yo (twice a day) and baby for abt 5 mths. My 2nd child was underweight and I would have been very happy should she put on, but, nope. 😞

yea. i really find BM is so precious. I spoke to an immunology professor and he insisted that to reduce the onset of allergy would be to exclusively feed newborn with BM till they’re 6mths.
