Seems like the Day 1 English Oral topic was similar to last year’s Day 2 Chinese Oral topic.

I thought it happened to just one school on Tuesday 15 August but after finding out more from others, I realised it affected a number of different schools in Singapore, be it the MT oral exam technical issues or the variety of English oral questions asked on Day1.

I m not sure if all supposed to be asked on the same set of qns. But I feel just a tweak in qn still based on the main 'theme' is ok? Just that when student/parents compare..may have qn mark on whether the student heard/understand it wrongly..

Hi, not sure if anyone can help with this? I have a question regarding situational writing. Understand that the signing off for formal letter/email is either "Yours faithfully" or "Yours sincerely" depending on whether we know the reader’s name or not. For informal email/letter, can we use "Best regards" for all readers, regardless of whether it is a family member or friend? My DS’s teacher said "Best regards" cannot be used for all readers and it is best to use "Yours truly" which is applicable for all readers in informal email/letter. Is that right? Thanks!

Not sure is it the interest of parents on kiasuparent psle has dwindled slowly. Compared to past years, at this point of time, the pages here usually will exceed 100 pages, but today the pages here not even 50 is it parents have other forum to discuss the Psle? Please share😂

My son took psle last year. For academic-related help (and later on, S1 choices and school reviews help) I found the FB groups more useful and faster response as well. Just do a search on FB groups for keywords like psle 2023 and several will pop out. Beware many of them are run by tutors, but the parents inside could be experienced parents with good sharings too. It’s easier to upload photos directly from phone using FB, just snap a pic of the qn child cannot solve & post.

Yes, thought so too. My child took it last yr, so I can still remember. Guess it was easier to share this in English than Chinese.

My DD got AL4 in math in the pre-lim, she knows all the concepts but careless mistakes and she panicked so left out last 2 questions without attempting. Can anyone share some last minute tips / tricks to pull her up.

                        Thanks in advance.
