All About Preparing For Primary One

No vacancies for both DD1 and DD2 for the moment, or

just no vacancy for DD1? If not you can consider to put
DD2 earlier instead of waiting next year.. if there IS a
space lah. So far from what i know, they try to do every
thing academic + enrichment within operating hours and
mebbe once in two weeks plus holidays got homework...
other than that they should be pretty covered in the ctr.
Was thinking that this CCC option wud be better since a
lotta stuff under one roof for your needs..

Unfortunately, none for both. I also would prefer to have everything under one roof within operating hours. Me no luck...

which is why I think it's a blessing in disguise to have both in different sessions next year. Son in P5 will have my 100% attention next year, although I heard he has to attend compulsory supplementary lessons while daughter in P1 has my 100% focus.

Ya some days are just so :frustrated:

When she is in one of those moods then I will ask her to spell verbally / use magnetic letters / use large crayons / use my handphone to key in / bride with tv-time if not weekdays, etc. etc. etc... we also sometimes let her use toothpicks to form the words while waiting for food to come when we eat out...

Like i said, mebbe just me that's KS lah.. and besides having an
older DD1 oredi in P3, i suppose i tend to do a wee bit more with
DD2 to ensure she is better prepared now, as compared to when
i prepared her jie-jie back in P1. (Since oredi experienced P1 with
the jie-jie).

I m now more kancheong abt the Jie Jie only, keep saying mei mei still got time. But truth is mei mei is just 1 year younger.. not that much time actually

Good thing is DD2 is almost very automatic oredi with all her work
load and assignments and she did extremely well for her recent SA1
formative assessment with very minimal help from me.

Your DD2 is great :lol: My DD2 always v tired when it comes to work... but always not tired when it comes to play / TV

I like the formative assessment way of tabulation as it encompasses
a child's strengths as a whole and not just paper results. But we were
informed that the paper exams will be formally tested for SA2... which
again is good, for at least there won't be too much of a culture shock
come P2.

Both Fairfield and Henry Park are great school choices, Poohbear. I think
your child will thrive in either schools! :celebrate:

Well...spoilt for choice or not...not sure cos both may need balloting within 1km... so we r really praying hard to get a place without the need to go thru the stress of balloting
