Home monitoring with CCTV or IP Cameras

I have used DLink camera before it requires me to engage third party IT professional to configure my router in order to remote access. Later, my friend recommended an IP camera (WELL-503w) provided by Security Hub Pte Ltd. It is very easy to use. Simply plug in and use. The thing I like is I don't require to engage third party IT professional to configure the router as they charge $150 per visit. You can contact Freddy Tan (9748-0880)
Hi,
Could you pls elaborate more about the cost and product?
Thank -
Hi parents, intend to install web cam to access via Internet to monitor my 2 DS. Anyone can pm or share some contacts and information to share pl. Want to monitor them from work at times to ensure they do their work. Desperate working mother needs your advice pl.

using Foscam 2 models. 8910W and 8916W.
so far think 8910 still the best. both actually no video issue. just that not sure why 8916 likes to turn on its own and keep panning from left to right and right to left without anyone touching it or controlling it.
easy to use and configure. :rahrah: -
Any recommendation for IP camera using at home? Just to monitor my kid after school.

It actually depends on whether you are running it wirelessly or you intend to run the LAN cable to the router/NVR. But definitely there will be the cables to supply power to the IP camera. -
i’m lost… i tried fixing a dlink cam in the living room and have it connected via lan cable. but intend to get another in the inner part of the house, which is further from the wifi main point. If wireless, the connection might not be good and hang alot of the time.
speed will really depend on the wifi subscription right? anyone uses lan in the rooms too? or wireless already? -
Yes, wifi will be subject to a interference depends on your wall structure and also wifi from neighbours ( beside, on top and below, if you stay in a block ), but is hassle-free. LAN will be reliable but need to lay lines along wall corners to avoid unsightliness.
Most important, secure your home router and CCTV with strong password. Otherwise, will end up on one of the "hacked home camera" websites. -
That’s correct, I work in the telco industry and we outsource the Internet home camera installation to local suppliers. Homeowners are advised to change their password for the Internet cameras but many of them keep as default password or easy to guess passwords.
