This is such a great discussion! It’s clear that many parents are trying to do their best to ensure their little ones are comfortable, especially during cold and flu season.

The general consensus here is valuable: a humidifier can certainly help with dryness and congestion in a baby’s room. However, keeping it clean is absolutely crucial to prevent mold and bacteria. For anyone still unsure, it’s always a good idea to chat with your pediatrician to see if a humidifier is recommended for your specific situation. Thanks for all the thoughtful input!

To relieve neck pain, you can apply baby oil or any kind of ointment to reduce pain and gently massage the part.

My little one went through the same thing a few months back. I was thinking of TCM too, but in the end I decided to bring him to Dr Sean Ng at Cove Orthopaedic Clinic. He explained clearly what was going on and the treatment was very safe for kids.

My son age of 4 yrs old is having stiff neck now.

Any advice…should I bring him to Chinese shifu to "rub" his neck?

I would be cautious about any rubbing or tui na if he is only four years old. Before attempting alternative treatments, perhaps consult a pediatrician to rule out anything dangerous.
