Gee, I thought they would have felt embarassed and denied vehemently.

That’s how we reacted when it came to BGR and holding hands back in the
good old days. right? Hm, makes me feel so ‘old fashioned’…

This shd be a passing phase. Tell your gg she is too young and this is not the right time to have bgr. Anyway, at this age, the boy is harmless.

Kids are really very very matured these days. My friends daughter actually told the other classmate that my son belongs to her!!! What a joke right. This happen when they were in K2. Cant imagine. I told my son that all these are good friends and study is most important.

Even my friend was surprised with what her daughter had said. That cute girl even draw up a heart shape and half written my son name and the other half written her name. Anyway, it is all about friendship.

When I went out with my male friends, I will bring my son along. I told him, this is my friend and I like my friend very much as we known each other since young. That doesnt mean we have to be holding hands or … Friends are forever.

Wow! WOw! P3! i guess i still did not know the difference between a boy and girl then.

If I were the girl’s mum who came back and felt very excited, i will take time to speak to her on this. Never ever let the 1st statement be YOU DONT DO THIS AH! you will close all possible sensitive communication in future.
My feel on kids now is that should they have bf/gf, it’s IN! So, the naggy part in us must disappear 1st. Make the girl feel you are IN, understand what they are going through, their emotions. then get her to speak to u. slowly, educate her what can be done and what cannot be done if she has a bf. objective is we want our children to confide in us.
well, i m not agreeing that they should start a relationship young, but i rem when i was younger, the more Mummy says NO, the more I want to DO it! hence, if they should step into a relationship, she must learn to protect herself and know what’s the priority - studies!

                I guess, so.

I saw young girls holding hands with their boyfriend. Maybe this is the trend.

What happen if our kids also date early?

i think parents should play their part by not encouraging such things. I have personally seen a mother asking her daughter which ‘boyfriend’ is she calling when she was playing with a toy phone. and then also bragging to everyone that there is a boy that always likes to follow her daughter of 5 yo.
