2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take

janet_lee88:
With 2nd one registered for P1 as well, I guess there is one BIG load off my shoulders. Both in primary school next year. :rahrah:
:congrats: janet_lee88! Finally over! Now, for different types of stress.....
I guess the staff told you 99% because she was conservative. She didn't want to be accused of giving false hope. You don't need her assurance, right? Looking at the vacancies available in the school, there will only be one reason if your application does not go through (touch wood) - eligibility. I am sure you have verified your daughter's eligibility before you decided to register her in the school, right? So, no worries! :celebrate: -
janet_lee88:
Usually when people say 99%, they in fact mean 100%. That 1% is to cover the flanks mah. Go surgery, doctor also never dare to say 100% safe in case you sue later. One staff told me 99% confirmed, the ladies who sat in front of the PC told me no problem, sure in.
Tankee, LKVM - Thanks for your assurance. -
janet_lee88:
Thanks for the reminder.HI Parents,
Do photocopy your original documents prior registration. It saves time.
Happy for you that that is over and done with.

Yup I agree the stress of not knowing is so so nerve-wrecking.
Keep monitoring to see how it goes. Anything is still possible since some may withdraw upon securing seats at preferred choice in the later Phases.
Good luck Joeyz18! :xedfingers: -

Thanks RRmummy!! :celebrate: :xedfingers:

I think the intake for CHS is the same as last year...210 max. The intake for Phase 1 and Phase 2A1 was surprisingly overwhelming, leaving a mere 62 vacancies. So all of us may subject to balloting if the application for these 2 days exceed 62! :xedfingers:
BTW, ClubNako posted under Bishan schools earlier that there was a high turnout for registration for CHS today!
Good Luck then!! :xedfingers: -

Unless Phase 1, or else you won't get to hear GUARANTEE !!!
But I must thank my lucky stars that I can register daughter under Phase 2A2. Without that PSLE cert stating the school, cannot get past Station 1.
Over and done with, registration ie. :rahrah: Now is to build up her foundation for her subjects. -
janet_lee88:
99% is a shoo-in....really...Don't think you'll have sleepless nights over that 1%, right?Hi everyone,
I just came home, after registering my daughter under Phase 2A2 at CHIJ TP.
There are 3 'stations' - Station 1 is at the ground floor...an admin lady will ask if we have photocopied all the original documents, to make copies beside the bookshop.
Station 2: A staff member will go through all the original/photocopied documents, verify and fill in the official form. I asked the lady what are our chances since she ticked the box 'more than 2km'. She told us 99%.
Station 3: This is the last stop, the actual keying into the MOE computer system. I was told to call on Monday if I wanted to know if daughter is confirmed a place.
BTW, did you have any swollen face today or meet up with any ex-classmates??
