2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take

tankee:
Thanks, tankee.
typically the registration status would be displayed, & periodically updated throughout the day, at strategic points within the school. Most do so at the entrance to the registration point, some at school's notice board near admin office, some at school gates.
You can call the school to ask. If you are lucky, the admin staff may check and tell you. But be prepared to be rejected, as the poor admin staff is probably already busy and the phone is probably ringing off the hook with similar queries.
Yeah, I thought so too...

Busymom:
Does anyone know how do we keep track of the number of kids registering at each school during the day of registration? Does one parent have to station in the school the whole day or do we call up the school to find out? Would the school entertain such calls?
Best bet and most accurate information would be the MOE website after
7pm, Busymom. -
RRMummy:
Looks like it... not many schools had >60 intake for yesterday. It is one of it.buds:
No.. hopefully not.. I'm in 2B but it looks like it will be going for balloting this year...

Really arh? Kena issit? For 2B?
2A2 1st day > 60 leh!!
RRMummy..do you mean < 60 = less than ??
Do you have backup plan in mind? -
buds:
I do hope I did not relocate for nothing...Well, at least you're in 2B ya know..
I cannot imagine the anxiety those
parents in 2C are feeling...
They are last in the food chain and
watching the numbers decline each
day...
buds ah, 2C and 2B gets the same number of seat leh... of course the fight is tougher this year with lesser seats to fight for.. -
RRMummy:

Busymom,
you can check with MOE's website. It is updated everyday:
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/
busymom, I also wish to have the same answers.. it really depends on the person who picks up the phone in your targetted school.
I have no luck with the school I'm aiming. My friends have better luck than me... they call the school 3 times a day and still get an update...
BTW, good luck!! :xedfingers:
Thanks, tree numph, but MOE website doesn't help in my case if I need to make some quick decisions before the end of the day.
Thanks, RRMummy. Looks like we are both going to be in the same boat next Friday... Best of luck to you too! :xedfingers: -
No growie. I mean > More than. More than 60 people applied yesterday. I had to look twice to make sure I saw it correctlyβ¦

Yes, one should have at least one back up plan...
for just in case... cos you don't want to be caught
off guard in the least expected scenarios.

RRMummy:
2B would at least know their situation much
