What happens to students that don't do well in IP schools?

HCI principal said in this year’s Open House that there is a class of (14-15, I can’t remember the exact figure) O level students in HCI. I don’t recall him mentioning what will happen to this class after O levels though.

But take note. If you get into this class in sec 3, you still have a chance of going back to IP. I know of 2 cases.

Unfortunately, it has not been obvious to me because I have been told different things. I hope to have a chance to clarify this with the school if my son is offered a place

in DHS, there's also a class for pupils taking the \"O level\" (but the number of the pupils is not big, less than 20)


but if the pupil is a slacker, the teacher has the \"right\" to get he/she transferred out of the school.
(heard that fr my gal who overheard a conversation between the teacher and the pupil)

My DS is in HCI. Few days ago his consortium director told the students that there is a possibility that the school will "ask" you to transfer out if it is beyond hope. I was quite surprised as the school ever said that they will keep those students not up to mark and transfer them to O levels path.


Neverthless, my advice is we can’t 畏首畏尾. Nothing can be done if you worry too much. Just go for it if you are offered IP.

Used to have but this year is the last batch. Next year onwards, no more. At least this was what the P mentioned on a talk.

Thanks everyone for sharing your information! It seems that the IP schools will try to keep the students unless they are really far behind. That begs the question as to whether they are "propping" up the average students.
