Berries - Discussion

This year, Berries started to not giving make up lessons for those classes that are missed because of public holidays. They close on PH. Since their term fees are based on a 12-week term, this means they do not get any refund for the lessons missed. Instead they incorporate the lesson to be missed in the week before the PH. Is this the practice for all tuition centres in Singapore ?
Doesn’t that mean parents are paying more per lesson if they have a PH in their lesson schedule ? -

In the Berries center my gals are attending, they actually called us up in advance and ask us to pick which day we want to have the makeup lesson (within the same week). Eg. holiday on Thu Wk25, then replace any other day in Wk 25This year, Berries started to not giving make up lessons for those classes that are missed because of public holidays. They close on PH. You might want to clarify with them again. -

I second that :celebrate:Do you consider Orchard a central location?
This branch is very established, teachers are caring and responsible. Admin staffs are friendly and helpful.usaik:
From what I have noticed about the teacher's credentials in Creative Horizon, they seem to be very experienced and have taught in established schools. Many of them have honours too.Hi Sesame246,
Yes. Creative Horizon teachers are all locals. Most are NIE trained. Children have to sit for some assessment before they decide to take the kid. I have seen them turning away children and don't feel too good about it. I have seen their worksheets, personally I felt that it is on the \"tough\" side. (Maybe my expectation and standard is low)
Hope this helps

The Berries branch where my boys attended (West) does not have make up lessons for PH already. But for this year where there are a lot of PH on Friday, they took parents' feedback and gave 2 make up lessons out of 5 missed lessons due to PH.

Hi
Just would like to check, is Bukit Batok branch a good place to send or Orchard?
I am planning to send my son there. He is now P1.
Any suggestion? -
I see, how do you find Berries for primary level? Is it good? I know its good for pre schools, not sure about primary level. Any feedback?
