Thanks. Looking good so far. Today P2B 56 aplns.Hi markfch,
I believe your son would have got in. In any case, keep us updated
Hi E3,
My share of 'fun' was not 'fun', since son is a 2000 child (Dragon year)
Speaking of this 'fun', there willl be another bumper crop of Dragon babies again in 2012...hopefully Pei Hwa will not cut another class again next year or parents will be MORE stressed. The prev principal asked MOE for 2 classes for Dragon kids (ie 14 classes) but MOE only allowed 1.
Mummies/Daddies,
All the best to you too.
Btw, sch mgt told me that the ideal size for a sch is 1800. So I think there'll be further cuts to P1 classes next yr. Otherwise how to go single session in 2016? -

What is the vacancies available under 2B? Is the vacancies the same as for 2c too?
What will my chances be? I'm within 1km if I'm under 2C phrase?
In comparison, which is better? Fairfield or Peiwah? -

MOE website shows 58 applications. Meaning 14 applicants have to look at backup schools. Condos are sprucing up around Pei Hwa...so there will be more 'blood shed' even for those staying within 1km in time to come. -

All the best to all PVs registering your kids today and tomorrow! :xedfingers: :rahrah: :rahrah:
Thanks E3. I had divine intervention that ds will get in already. -
Hi markfch,
We look forward to hear good news from you.
Best of luck to you, and also other parents. -

Just curious, how do you find out, out of the 58, how many are within 1 km and how many are 1-2 km and so on? A no. of my churchmates' hearts must be beating very fast these 2 days. A few of them are out of the 2 km.
Thanks. Looking good so far. Today P2B 56 aplns.

IJJ:
MOE website indicated the total number of applicants, but not how many stays within 1km or 1-2km. Can only ask the school at the end of today, whether balloting is required for those 1-2 km or just out of 2km.

1) If all the 44 vacancies and the no. of applicants staying within 1km (or 2km) happened to match up exactly at 44, then all those residing out of 1 km (or 2km) will be rejected. There will be no balloting. Of course, this is very unusual but it did happen to some schools in the past.
2) The nearer proximity applicants will fill up some vacancies, and if the remaining applicants staying further outnumbered the vacancies left, then there will be balloting for those remaining vacancies. This is the more common scenario.
The vacancies for phase 2B compared to the last two years were indeed fewer. -
I hope balloting will not be carried out for those staying within 1km, bcos it will be very scary for those staying so near to the school. Terrene (former Rainbow Gardens) is another new condo coming up.
:xedfingers: All the best...hope parents will receive good news this evening.
