MOE website shows 58 applications. Meaning 14 applicants have to look at backup schools. Condos are sprucing up around Pei Hwa...so there will be more 'blood shed' even for those staying within 1km in time to come.

Just curious, how do you find out, out of the 58, how many are within 1 km and how many are 1-2 km and so on? A no. of my churchmates' hearts must be beating very fast these 2 days. A few of them are out of the 2 km.

1) If all the 44 vacancies and the no. of applicants staying within 1km (or 2km) happened to match up exactly at 44, then all those residing out of 1 km (or 2km) will be rejected. There will be no balloting. Of course, this is very unusual but it did happen to some schools in the past.

2) The nearer proximity applicants will fill up some vacancies, and if the remaining applicants staying further outnumbered the vacancies left, then there will be balloting for those remaining vacancies. This is the more common scenario.

The vacancies for phase 2B compared to the last two years were indeed fewer.

I hope balloting will not be carried out for those staying within 1km, bcos it will be very scary for those staying so near to the school. Terrene (former Rainbow Gardens) is another new condo coming up.

When I saw that I had divine intervention, I realised that I didn't need luck anymore. So I am really confident of ds enrolling even before p2b

just as i expected php sigh.... if my calculation is correct guess this year might 60-70 enrollment fighting for 44 seat in 2c which mean each parents might have only 58- 63 percent of chances getting in d seat unless most parents are foreign staying around that area 1km< it might bring the chances coz local can have 2 ballot this year. i personally forsee this year might have more than 44 in 2c expect to be 50-55? just hope the 2b most parents getting in are staying around 1km < it might also help to lower d balloting number head count.

I heard before that there was once a school which had registered the exact number of vacancies, then in came a mother trying to register. All the other parents who had already registered gave her such a look :x as if to eat her alive that the mother left crying, without registering!
