wah it seems SV becoming more strict with pv selection, within 1km still rejected. Any reason given?Just rec'd call from SV today that my PV application was not successful. Anyway I did not pin too much hopes since SV P2B need to ballot.
My hse is just in front of SV, now my most headache is shd I risk to register under P2C and go for P2CS if unsuccessful OR I should register at Concord under P2C (their past record takes in all even > 2km) then waitlist at SV. My main concern is distance as we do not have helper and I intend to enroll my son at nearby before/after sch care so sch care teachers can bring them to sch w/o having to spend extra on sch bus.
Any advice for me?
Phase 2c is based on luck la... If u have the guts to go thru ballot. Go for it but bear in mind that plcs will be taken up at schs like concord & cckps for ph2c supplementary. Most prob left with teck why's n kranji. U may want to check out these schools too. -
my heart dropped aft seeing today’s reg results. 1st choice (YTPS) application exceeded no. of vacancies, and 2nd choise (UPS) is going fast, too. Gal has been saying she wants to go to YTPS since beg of yr. Guess now have to keep fingers crossed and see if any more will turn up for YTPS/UPS tmr and Wed.

Gal has been saying she wants to go to YTPS since beg of yr. Guess now have to keep fingers crossed and see if any more will turn up for YTPS/UPS tmr and Wed.
Maybe you should have a 3rd choice as backup too.

What I know is SV target to have only 30 PV for my batch but was gg to further reduced due to their total vacancies for 2012 will be 270 only. Imagine I was the #93 they interview and last one. Haha! Maybe I wasn’t qualified as the top quality PV they want.

hahaha, no 3rd choice. the schools within 1-2KM all needs balloting. unless i'm going for Kranji, which i need can leave it till phase 2CS.

ya, last yr 3 out of the 4 nearby schs (YTPS, UPS, DLS, KPS) needs to go thru balloting. was praying hard this yr no need cos tot 2004 birth rate not high, but hiaz....
now see if my gal is lucky enuff to get into the sch of her choice or not. out of 129 reg yesterday, 126 are < 1KM and they only hv 114 vacancies! -

would like to check for example dls has 77 vacancies but the no. of applicants is 94.I am sure there will be ballot for this instance but the ballot will be categorised according to distance right. So let say there are abt 30 applicants out of the 94 staying within 1km. Will this grp be given priority and be given seats automatically and then the remaining 47 vacancies be balloted. how exactly does the distance priority work ? pse enlighten be thks to u all.
