RRmummy Thanks!

        RRMummy:
        jon00:

In Shuqun, they did post the registration numbers, and broke down into distance. I went to register just 1hr before the closing time, on the last day, and was second/third person exceeding the quota for <1km applicants. The sch did ask if I was staying <1Km. Given just 1 hr to go, I guess it may be too late to inform those staying more than 1Km. Perhaps MOE should consider having extra time (another 0.5 days?) if such situation arises in the last minute. Again, historically or the last few years, Shuqun has never need to ballot for <1km under phase 2C, so they may be caught off guard as well

In the case of Rulang, they only allow <1Km to apply after day 1 of phase 2C.
i read back and just realised those registering at phase 2c, the school doesnt count the number of applicants by distance real time. Only AFTER phase then know? Like that no sense lei. Cos if parents know will switch to another school with higher chance of getting in. Hmmm...

        Good luck jon00 :xedfingers:
不管名烂校, 会教好学生就是好校! Regardless of name or bad schools will teach students is a good school.
Agreed, and children discipline and conduct we parents should still be liable with not all to depend on schools or teachers :spank:

I guess genes play a big part 😉 however, school and parents do have a part to play in in the learning process as well. Well, I would not say there are bad or good schools. All schools teaches the same MOE curriculum, but it is the teachers/methods/parents support that make the difference.
