The Chinese HOD of my son's school said the students could be taught HCL at lower primary, but they would not be tested because the school was not a SAP school.

The exam part I'm not sure. But heard from my friend her girl (now in P2) need to attend the supplementary class once a week.

How does your friend know that the \"supplementary class\" refers to HCL?

For this part I do not ask her in details. Usually the school would put the CL or HCL pupils in different group.

I think most of the schools are working very hard to bring up the standard.

Last week, dd was given one of the neighbour school 2009 CA2 Maths test paper for practicing. Usually I thought the neighbour school’s paper should be easier but to my surprise the paper was even tougher than the other top school test papers that we practice. :!:

I agree, the neighbourhood's schools' papers are getting harder
and I am not sure how to help..was thinking that neighbourhood
school not so stressful but now they are also getting very stressful
