NatTif Mummy:
I'm so sorry to hear that, NatTif Mummy. It's so sad. Especially as the other kids must be celebrating. You're so right that the parents must prepare the child mentally for the worst. In my dd's school the teachers told the kids who were successful in their DSA to be sensitive to the feelings of the others who were unsuccessful.mummyjoyce:
Ifthe child is rejected in the DSA; he will be stressful and disappointed and might even affect next week oral. Parents, please support your child if the result is -ve and look forward to SCORE in the coming PSLE.
My niece is rejected by both schools she applied while the rest of the girls in her class are either accepted by NYGH or her dream sch- RGS. She was crying her eyes out last few days. It's so cruel for a 11-12 yrs old child. Pls prepare your child mentally for the worst before hand. -

When DD did not get thru RGS selection test, she was pretty dissappointed. It takes a couple of days of heart ache, but its better to get over it than let it drag. DH insisted on going for a lunch at her fav restauraunt. she seems over it now.
One more to go .... -
Does anyone know if we accept a DSA offer, can we change our mind after PSLE results are released. I know technically not supposed to, but does anyone know otherwise?

NatTif Mummy:
Yes it's not easy esp the majority of her classmates got accepted by NYGH/RGS. About 2 years ago, a niece of mine went for RGS DSA and got rejected. However, she didn't give up and still got in there thru her PSLE score.mummyjoyce:

My dd is from GEP, she is also rejected by both schools. Especially all her classmates got confirmed from NYGH and some even both. But life still have to go on, work harder for the PSLE. Still got chance to get into her dream school. -

My DD did not apply for any DSA as she is an average student; however I can feel the saddness in her when she come home telling me who-who got into NY/RGS etc via DSA. I only tell her that I am happy no matter what score she will get cos I can see that she is putting in extra effort for the past months. JIA YOU :celebrate:
