        Nebbermind:

wonder if there were ever any '3 quotes' for such provision?
Shd be an open tender with d usual suspects participating.
        SFI is a subsidiary of SATS, a GLC;
n FoodFare is a subsidiary of NTUC.
I have since heard (last Sat) dat after d complaints were publicized
dat d food quality has improved.
YOG volunteers were told dat they will get d same food as d athletes.
        :celebrate:
Makes one wonder if remedial action would have been taken
        if no one publicly complain.

Watch the Hockey show at Shenkeng Stadium yesterday. Unfortunately there was heavy rain and half way the match had to postpone to the latest hour. We watched the girl’s match between Netherlands and South Africa.

The Netherlands was too powerful and the final result was 13 to 0. It was a wonderful experience as we were 1st time so close to the game. DD and my nephew enjoyed so much with it.

                        :?

Dis story appeared on d YOG website:
                        Briefly,
\"Liberian swimmers Sima Weah and Mika-Jah Teah
competed for the first time ever in a swimming pool
when they competed in heat one of the youth men's 50m freestyle event
at Singapore Sports School on Tuesday.....\"
They finished 24 seconds behind the heat’s fastest qualifiers.

To put this in perspective, the men’s world record in this event is currently under 21 sec.

I don’t understand the purpose of headlining this story on YOG website.
I’m all for giving encouragement and hope to youths and understand
this YOG is not purely competitive.
But what inspiration can youths draw from reading this article?
Is the YOG so short of better stories?
To attract sponsors and more support, shouldn’t there be
better quality control in the selection of competitors,
or is this all some kind of a joke?

Before they even jump into d pool at starter's gun,
d game is oredi over with time to spare.
