Was up in arms too initially, but on reading the reply, I don't think he is being too unreasonable.

If indeed it was an invited food tasting, then surely it should have been comp-ed.....

                      hi parents,

nice knowing there's such interesting \"chit chats\" going on šŸ™‚

I had a good read on the food blogger Brad.

Just a young punk i feel ... but yes definitely a free loader šŸ˜›

Honestly .. IF I WERE A FOOD BLOGGER, I would book a seat (WITHOUT letting people know my identity) ... on that day, i will GO, EAT, PAY, REVIEW, RATE & BLOG abt it!

In this way , I make sure I eat what the \"general public\" would eat & I rate what people would expect to eat should they visit the restaurant. And the results will not be skewed.

Food Bloggers owe the general public a social responsibility ... having free meals or having meals specially prepared for \"special guests\" would sway the review; rendering the ultimate review unreliable.

Yes, he does do that too. But in this case, he was invited, makes a world of difference. And as long as he discloses this in a review, I am fine with it.
