Kids say the darnest things...

Hi, the other day, my 5 yrs old popped out a question while I was driving her for class.
Girl: mummy, when a boy n girl kiss each other, will they get pregnant?
Me: of course not…
Girl: then how u get pregnant?
Me: as brief as I could, I told her from sperm n egg meeting together…
Girl: what is sperm n egg? Come from where?
Me: sperm from the man n egg from the woman…I told her that’s it…
Girl: mummy, how the sperm n egg meet? U told me they came from man an woman but I still cannot understand how they can meet? It’s inside the body what…
me: u knw more when u grow up… Right now u dun need to knw too much details…
Kids these days are really asking too much…
One more incident she told me which happened in her class
Girl: my fren likes to copy me when we are doing work in class… She cannot spell ‘august’
Me: and what happens?
Girl: I told her why she must copy me…later if i’m wrong, she will also be wrong…if she dun know, go n ask d teacher…if teacher is busy, then go n look at the calendar…
Me: so did she ask the teacher?
Girl: no…she still looks at my work n even ask me is that a letter ‘u’. I told her of course lah…
Me: pls be polite when u talk next time
Sometimes when she writes ‘u’, it looks like ‘a’…my this little girl can sometimes be a pain in d neck! -

Any advice friends ???
Haven’t got a chance to tell DH about this … but I am inclined to feed him the scientific explanation, albeit in simple fashion.
