ya...so many  stories. i try to remember these whenever dss get on my nerves; keeps me sane.I love this topic.
Thank you for starting it, Angelight.
As I read each encounter, I go \"awww.....\"
We are indeed lucky and blessed to have our little ones

1st incident:
As I was opening the study room door, it hit one of my toes. I squealed in pain. My DS, who was playing in his room came running to see what happened. When he found out, he quickly scrambled to his room shouting, \"mummi, wait, wait, I am coming. I bring vaselin and put on your toe\" (beats me why vaselin, the petroleum jelly :? though I use that for him when he has heat rash).
When he came back, he literally ordered me to sit down. He opened the jar and as he was about to dip his finger in, he suddenly squeezed the painful toe. I shouted \"ouch.\" You know what he said? \"Mummi, its ok, I want to feel your pain\" and proceeded to rub the jelly on my toe. Then, he concluded the act by pretending to kiss my toe and said, \"now the pain will go away fast because xxx kissed it already.\"
Such is the innocence of a child
2nd incident:
It happened last night. As I was brushing my teeth, DH was putting DS to sleep. DS kept coming nearer and nearer to DH so DH asked him why. DS said that mummi was going to come soon and he was making space for me, and he specifically told DH that that space was meant for me  -
hehe ya, mummy is always number one for dd. she will forsake the daddy anytime for me  until dh sometimes will say,\"eh, can't stand it, 她很疼你 leh!\"

This thing happened to my friend and I would like to share it because it really shows how sweet small kids can be.
My friend's 3 yr old ds was playing in the playground when he slipped and fell, breaking his arm at the same time. The bone jarred out and he cried in pain. My friend started to panic and cried too when she saw what happened.
Immediately her ds consoled her. This is what he said. \"Mum don't cry, I'm ok. It's only a bit painful'. And he stopped crying too. But imagine the bone broke thru the flesh and was visible. How can it only be a bit painful rite? This kid is just so compassionate  -
When ds1 was 7 years old, he told me that if I ever died he'll make sure that I'm buried in his garden. This way, he can visit me daily!
I don't know to  or

LKVM:
Yep, ds wrote me a note to say that he'll miss me a lot when I'm gone. I've exposed him to the concept of death early on, telling him nobody, including his parents lasts forever.
Something like that happened to mark alsoheyhoe:

Dear Angelight,
Thanks for starting this thread.
Dear fellow forummers,
I am really enjoying the sharings and am just amazed at the myriad ways in which the kids (try to) reach out to their loved ones to show how much they (the kids) love them.

Recently, I am disheartened over my job and am contemplating quitting it to do something else, but the ‘something else’ may not bring in money yet. I asked my 10-yr-old what she thought about it and she said,"I’d rather you do something you like."

Great advice for all of us.
What a wise young girl  -
My son cried when I told him he and his sis would have their own families one day and we oldies can't stay with them forever... he was into the \"I don't want to get married\" discussion and was sad to realise that what he has now might change in future. He says he wants to live with me forever. aiyoh...
