Now about dd. My mum passed away end May this year. Worried for my father well being (he’s staying alone), I have gotten my children to stay over and accompany my father while I went to work.

My father was extremely depressed. His mood swing consist of crying quietly, chatting about my late mum or simply burst out in anger. DS is extremely terrified of my father emotions & refused to stay another day with his grandfather. It has been dd who feels for her grand dad & does not mind accompanying him despite his mood swing. She said she felt sorry for him and hope that her staying with him will make him feel better. I am really touch by her concern and care. Even as an adult I have the difficulty in handling my father’s emotion.

Thanks all. He's really cute but of course there's mood swing too.

Another thing he does that touches my heart.

It was late about 11 pm and I was settling down to clear up the dry laundry and put them away into respective cabinet. He was about to sleep & seeing me with a pile of clothing, he climbed out of bed and started to help me out. Seeing the mountain of clothing, he decided that the situation won't do. He went out of the room & viola came dh & dd. He told them to pick their own clothing & hang it themselves. Sweet right?
Reading about your posts, I suddenly remembered this old Eurythmics song which goes like this:

No one on earth could feel like this
I'm thrown and overblown with bliss
          There must be an angel
          Playin' with my heart, yeah

Just to share something my gal does for me nightly even if I am not home yet...

She will prepare my PJ for me and put on my bed.....Look who's the mum here?? πŸ˜‰

And whenever she sees me busy...she will pour me a drink to remind me to drink. In doing so, that was how I suddenly realised she was tall enough to reach the kettle in the kitchen!! :!:

Thanks Brenda dear. Yes I believe she would be the sort to do such things. She seems to have motherly instincts in her. πŸ˜‰ Recently when we went on a retreat, during teatime, I was already seated in the dining place sipping on my hot tea, waiting for her. Then I saw her from afar coming out of her activity room, queued for the teabreak pastries and her drinks, lined them on the table and ran out of the dining hall. Immediately I realised she had prepared the snacks and drinks for me and herself and were on her way out to look for me to have my teabreak. So I quickly ran after her and gave her a hug. Asked her if she was looking for me, she said Yes. πŸ˜„ Times like this, I really thank God for her blessed sweetness.

Well, I guess the lucky persons would be her husband and children in future. πŸ˜‰
