Talking about the "hair-cuts" - this is where I appreciate the Govt for its commitment to the Garden City. The amount of effort, manpower and resource to upkeep the country to what it is today, still amazes me !

however the outsourcing of plant maintenance could have been better managed; c'mon it is not rocket science -

:!: :!: its raining extremely heavy and for quite long here too in Central :roll: -
I could not believe my eyes one nite on my way home from airport, well past 1am, the workers were still opening the road-kerb drain covers to dig for debris and pile and pile of dried leaves and what not in black trash bags were lining up along the whole stretch of road … looks like kind of emergency operation through the nite to clear the drain before any heavy downpour …
That makes me suspect that my suspicion about the cause of flash flood is right…simply due to lack of maintenance and upkeep
once in 50 years they forgot about the maintenance and upkeep …
