I guess it depends on individuals whether the child does not fall sick easily, can focus on studies, etc.Brenda10:
Oh. Your one is 1 hour shortage. Still quite ok lah.
Actually I feel that 9hrs of sleep is sufficient for her.
My P3 boy cant do w/o afternoon nap. He simply cant focus during our evening hours revision. That's why I am thinking of sch transfer for next year since I cant afford any houses near the sch. -
My problem is I can’t get my kids to sleep earlier. They keep finding excuses to leave their beds. Forgot to tell me something ‘urgent’, need to drink water, need to go toilet again, blah blah blah. Everyday is a struggle when comes to bedtime routine :x

I often think it’s the lack of sleep that contributes to short sightedness in our children. But of course, I have no evidence to support that - just don’t understand why we have an unnaturally high rate of short sightedness among our young.

I am totally not surprised at the news because I have noticed this since 2-3 years ago when I kept bumping into kids with dark rings and severe eyebags. Upon asking, it has something to do with their sleep hours and timing.

My elder boy must get enough sleep, else he wld suffer giddiness, vomitting n headache. At home, he goes to bed latest 10pm and wakes up at 6am on weekdays. Still short if wld to adhere to the recommendation in the report. Come Sat/Sun, he can sleep till 10am.
My son (6) complains of headaches in the evenings but we tot it was becoz the childcare \"forces\" him to nap when he didn't feel sleepy. He goes to bed at 10pm and wakes at 7.30am on weekdays. He wakes up at 8.30am on weekends.
My mom suspected it was his daily consumption of eggs so she made him cut down on that and so far his complaints have gone.
After this report yesterday, I now suspect he doesn't have enuff sleep. -

My P3 boy also like this - drink water, go toilet, then drink water again, then toilet again. I once told him to stand outside the hse if he continued to do this. Recently I lied to him that too much water contained inside the bladder overnight is not good for health, now he drinks only once. -

Lack of sleep, yes, esp in Sec school. Average is 5 to 6 hours on weekdays. When come to weekends, would sleep all the way to recover back. DD even told me, its such a luxury to be able to have enough long sleep and wake up naturally.Dear Parents,
I'm getting really concerned as one of my children is suffering from lack of sleep and also ends up getting migraine attacks everytime, she is under stress. I had discussed this with other parents and most of them have been complaining that it takes a longer time for their children to fall asleep and by the time they are in deep slumber it is time to get up for school!!!! This is inspite of the fact that they have had a hectic day of activities at school. Kindly share your experiences, concerns & comments....tks.
My dd takes less than 2 mins and off she goes, to find 周公. Very easy to fall asleep, regardless hectic or not hectic. I think she has my gene.
