2012 end of the world?

When I was in Shanghai recently, my colleagues chatted about this movie. I've not seen it yet. They said some youngsters are really taking it easy.


For me.... if the world really ends at 2012, I think we should all quit our job, schools (no more KSP, PV, PSLE), enjoy life the best that we can and then wait for the day to come. But what if it don't?????? Oops. :stupid:

When I was in my teenage life, they spoke about end of the world in 2009. Then my bible knowledge teacher said that it probably signifies the end of spiritual world and not physical world. It came and go.

Because you're law abiding so you choose to just enjoy life (the remaining of it). But for others, there would be anarchy, with lots of looting & violence & selfishness if they really think that the world would end soon.

Planet nibiru, or planet x, does not exist. If it exists, satellites would have detected it by now, and it would even be visible with the naked eye, based on how fast an objecy travels w/o air resistance and gravity. Therefore, 2012 will not end b/c nibiru destroys earth.


Anyway, i think that while the world ain’t gonna end on 21/12/2012 11.11.11 gmt, i believe that a significant event will happen. Who knows… I think the reason of the 2012 craze is mainly because the movie 2012 told us to google 2012…

Also, about the calendar, what does it have to do with the acopolypse? Our calendar ends on 31/12 every year. Did the world end? No. So what makes them think the world’ll end b/c of the end of a calendar?

Singapore is well prepared for 2012. There is a ship on the very top of MBS. The only problem is that it has no engine and is stuck to the roof. Maybe there is a secret catch that can release the ship when the time comes.

We can't tell for sure if it's true or not.

But so what if the world ends at 2012?
Anyone can die tomorrow, touch wood...

The key thing is to live each day as if it's your last. Not literally, but in the sense of working towards your relationships and other aspects in life with a clear sense of purpose.

So when the world ends in 2012 or tomorrow, one can leave in peace, knowing that one has left a positive legacy, even if it's a temporary one.

As for students, it's a lame excuse not to study. You can tell them, if they play all day, there would be consequences they have to face way way before 2012, and chances are that the consequences wouldn't be pleasant.
