Use of correction-tape allowed in PSLE?
-
Noted with thanks, HaleyCopterz. Guess I will have to get my boy to choose a ballpoint pen that he is comfortable with and start using it now. He has been using gel pen since P1 so hope he can get used to a new pen in 2 weeks time.

What would be a good way to make sure the writing is tidy then, if correction tape is discouraged?Hi all,
I am a primary school teacher and would like to provide some input on this.
We strongly discourage the use of correction tape. However, if your child does not forget to write down whatever he wants to. He must also check to see if the tape does not come off then it is all right to use it. -
For math, i use a small space for each attempt, and when itโs wrong, i neatly cancel WITH PENCIL. Maximises usage of space.

if your child wants to cancel, just cancel once through neatly.

Dear Frenz,
Kindly suggest what kind of stationery is allowed for PSLE 2010? Grateful if you could indicate brand name if possible!
P.S: Looks like with PSLE around the corner all of us in the family are going bonkers!!!
Thank you in advance! -
I think all brands are accepted. I think that it will be pathetic if MOE decides to ban all pilot pens, or any other brands, for whatever reasons.

Don't forget the calculator for Maths paper and chinese dictionary for CL compo. I will get dd to bring extra batteries, just in case. or change the battery first, in the calculator and e-dictionary. Think most will know that the calculator and dictionary needs the \"school endorsement\". Normally a sticker or a \"school stamp\" on the dictionary (book).Dear Frenz,

Yes, his CL2 e-dictionary has been endorsed. I was told by dsโs form teacher that his calculators need not be endorsed. From what I understand, itโs not compulsory to endorse the calculators. For schools which do not do so, the teachers will go round to check that their calculators are approved by moe. By the way, do not use alkaline batteries for calculators & e-dictionaries. Use those normal heavy duty ones.
