Hi
You may wish to consult a physiotherapist. I have been seeing one for my stiff shoulder and after one session (which involves just manual therapy) I could feel the stiffness relieved. This therapist also sees patients as young as babies. If you would like to have his contact details, please send a pm to me. -
hmm… is this common? My kids (5 and 7) have been sleeping in very wierd positions since young, with their heads at angles that I tot would surely mean cannot turn the head when wake up, if it happened to me…
but they are alright leh, which suggests kids are so much more flexible than us. -
Thanks for the replied.
I brought him to his PD.
His PD said his Muscle tighten so he give him some muscle relaxation medicine.

Periodically stopping to stretch is a great way to help prevent getting a stiff neck. Stretches include:
Roll your shoulders back and forth.
Squeeze your shoulder blades together several times.
Slowly move your ear to your shoulder on each side.
Slowly turn your head from side to side. -
Exercises are good for any neck pains, but if the pains are not subsiding or growing worse, you should go to a doctor, even if it’s just to check what’s causing the neck pain or if it’s a symptom of something else. It pays to be very careful when it comes to these things. Should you need an ortho referral, you should try Dr Sean Ng. He helped me with my back pains (slipped disc) a while back.

I found a cure to my stiff neck problem after a long cold weather trip to US. I realised that by keeping my neck warm at all times cures my neck pain. I put a warm scarf on all the times.
Back in our warm country, I will always wrap a towel to warm my neck while sleeping. And this habit has also solve my frequent headaches problem. This is a simple and treatment to tryout before exploring other means.
Hope it helps. -
I had something similar happen a few months back and also tweaked my neck during yoga (I was doing a headstand and thought I was being careful…). At first, it just felt stiff, but the discomfort crept in more as the day went on. I ended up seeing Dr Sean Ng, an orthopaedic surgeon, and it helped me figure out what was actually going on.
I’d say it’s better to get it checked by a doctor, especially if the pain is getting worse. Sometimes what feels like a simple strain could be more than that, and it’s better to catch it early.
