i tink Samsung Galaxy S is comparable to iPhone?janet_lee88:
Has anyone try FaceTime? Any comments?
So far, only my dad has iphone 4. Since FaceTime uses wi-fi only, no need to use FaceTime liao. See him almost everyday. HeHeHe.
Hubby & I have this joke - the person with the least IT knowledge is using the LATEST phone. I use my 3GS a lot for its dictionary/thesaurus function. Once you use APPLE, I don't think you'll be switching back to any other brand.
heard good reviews, DH and a few friends say if any phone can match up to iPhone, this would be it..
Heard a different comments from my colleague who is using Samsung Galaxy S. She has done a comparison with her DH iPhone and concluded that the response time from iPhone is faster. The sensitive is better too. -

Gecko... given that I can probably use the other 3/4 of the iPhone 4 which you cannot use, if you let have your iPhone 4 I can grudgingly let you have my well loved Nokia. It's not a fair trade, but what are friend's for?Gecko:
Wife just got me an iphone 4 last Fri (1/10). Still very very unfamiliar with it. I have always used a Nokia [my first was the\"banana\" phone - remember that one?
the QWERTY keyboard has given me a lot of trouble with my short and stubby fingers. My typing of sms-es have slowed down tremendously.
I reckon I won't use 3/4 of what the iphone is capable of.
My main problem is now what to do for reservist. Can't bring a camera phone into camp. Cant simply change the sim card with anor h. (sigh) I guess I need to get anor SIM card.

Do you still have your old phone w/o camera with you? My colleague has succeed in putting the micro SIM card into a samsung phone which uses the normal SIM card. The trick is to match the reading area together then close the cover. Hope it works for you.Wife just got me an iphone 4 last Fri (1/10). Still very very unfamiliar with it. My 3GS lasts for about 1-1.5 days only, depending on usage. Guess with all the surfing, games, displays etc it's inevitable.
Turn off the 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use.
however, it is still not as good as my Nokia that diedverykiasu2010:

That's good.
may be it is the beautiful displays that saps all the battery juice
You can also reduce the Brightness .. all these will help to save the battery life. -

Blue tooth turned on only when I transfer files over to PC. Otherwise, everything else is minimum to conserve battery life.

Yes battery life sucks...
Was having a training yesterday and does not have access to power point/ laptop...
All I did was to check emails, share price and did some sms.... By 5pm, it was down to 20% though I started with full batt in the am. I saw it reducing by 1% every few minutes.
As I was having training, I even lowered the volume and didn't switch on vibrate mode as that will consume even more power. Blue tooth is off all the time unless I need it.
At the end of the day, I went to buy a portable mobile charger that allows me to power up to 60%. So now I carry this portable mobile charger with me all the time for contingency.
For me, I carry another hp (my personal line). So I am not overly concerned if my batt really died on me. But it's unthinkable... imagine someone with only the iphone but had to look for public phone because the battery is flat. :x
