anyone has signed up their 2011 P1 kids for the CCAs in Chongfu?
My girl is interested in the Chinese Dance club but how can I sign her up for the Chinese Dance club? The Chinese Dance club I saw at the Orientation needs to pay $ and it’s on weekend so I am not sure if that’s the school one or some vendor trying to sell the enrichment program?
Any advice? -
Imp75,
I think CCA is only sign up when school reopens.
During the orientation, the school did mention that every Tuesday, the children need to be in school at 10.00am cos they have activities arranged for them such as inline skating, Wushu (can’t remember all). Aren’t these considered as CCA?
Means apart from the Tuesday activity, the child has to sign up for additional activity as CCA?
Any current CF mummies can advise? -

These are enrichment for P1 and P2 students, not CCA. We need to pay for it, using edusave. It is compulsory.

do we sign up for CCA only when school reopens?
I hate to cut my girls’ hair just to conform to the silly rule of short hair for non-dancing girls! -
The days where the P1 and P2 have to go to school early are call Interest Groups. They are not considered as CCAs. They are 4 different IG for the 4 terms. That is to say they can learn and get exposure to 4 activities.

It is by vendor. Check if the trainer is the same trainer as the CCA trainer. If it is, then it's worth the investment to start early. If it's not, then your child may not even get into Chinese Dance in upper primary. The Chinese Dance club I saw at the Orientation needs to pay $ and it's on weekend so I am not sure if that's the school one or some vendor trying to sell the enrichment program?

Mummies just want to clarify on getting school shoes.
I know we can get school shoes from CKC or Bata at Yishun. Did the school mentioned must get shoe lace type?
I wanted to get for my girl but was stuck cos cannot remember whether can buy velcro type or not. -

school mentioned to get shoe lace type during orientation. but we saw some students with velcro shoes and clarified with the disciplinary master - the person who made the presentation on dressing and shoes. He said velcro shoes are OK.Mummies just want to clarify on getting school shoes.
