Hi.
I am not exactly sure about the workshop either, as all I know is from hearsay from colleagues, etc.
The feedback is rather varying though. Apparently, the workshop uses reverse psychology, and it's not exactly beneficial to all students. Some of my colleagues' kids even came home crying. And not to mention the exorbitant fees charged too.
But it's just a pinch of my opinion.
I also received similar negative feedbacks from some parents. Their kids went through the camp said that they use money making as a driven factor. A lot of banging and throwing things, shouting during the camp including vulgarities.
Some kids may find it very cool and therefore they said they really enjoyed the camp. But personlly I find this kind of teaching actually pollute the young minds. -
Throwing the laptop onto the floor to catch the students’ attention; give out a $100 note for grab. These are some tactics that I heard of which they used when they run workshop in school. Can’t imagine what they will use in their own centre.
But In heard that many students attending their tuition class will only go for a few months and then quit. -
We didn't hear the \"violent\" part. The only thing we heard was, kids were being asked the questions. What happens if your parents die tomorrow? Some of them even cried.
Have 2 nephews who went through the camp and the subsequent lessons.
The P4 appeared more motivated and displayed changed in attitude. He even came in 2nd in class during SA1.
The P6.... doesn't seem to have an impact on him. PSLE this year and still hooked to computer..... It appeared that parents not taking drastic measures though all of us were like.... should ban him, etc... In fact they use computer games as a carrort if he completes his task  :?
Seriously. I guessed, it's not a one size fits all. It might work for some but not the others. -
Hi all,
I hv made an enquiry on the Math Mastery Approach at the Adam Khoo Learning Centre. It seems that the approach they used is different from the school. Understand from the staff that it is recognised by MOE but some schools do not accept the style.
My worries is that will the kids confused the different method used. If it cant apply in school, when can they used and practice it.
Any sharing whose kids have gone through the Math Mastery Approach at Adam Khoo learning centre…Most appreciate…Thanks -
Hi all
I have 2 nephews who attended their workshop about 3-4 years back. feedback from their mom is that, they appeared to be very motivated and excited about the camp. But after that, life’s back to normal.
I reckon its got to do with the level of maturity and readiness of each child. And I agree, what works for some may not work for others. -
have anyone send their kids for the maths mastery at adam khoo learning centre? would like to find out more abt your view?

From all the reviews which I’ve gathered from other forums and this, don’t think I will take the risk. A few thousand bucks is no joke. Don’t feel it’s worth to ‘try’. If it cost only a fraction of that, no harm trying. If at the end of the day it doesn’t work out for my children or even had adverse results, still not so bad but here, we are talking about an amount which not everyone of us here can even afford to ‘try out’. JMHO.

My P5 dd is gg on a refresher camp this Dec. Let me update you after tt.
Btw, if you tik my dd enjoyed the camp, you are wrong.
She hates the camp. I guess the reason is I let her joined the camp too young (P2). She got fighten by the methods - shouting loudly & stuff like dat.
Anyway, the refresher camp is only 10% of the camp fees, will give it a try again!
