Jennifer,
I go through all the answers for mock papers as well as any other practice paper/assessment book with son…reason is some of the MCQs could be correct by chance. Now I go through all the questions with him. -
IJJ:
I certainly hope the exam papers will not be marked with such care(less) or the lack of it.
esp since I dun intend to go back to sch until collect report book day.
-
Jennifer:
returned by the teachers at school?
I assume this question is meant for me? Yes, the colouring contest is assigned by CL-Art teacher so she'll collect them back and possibly follow up with it.Jennifer:
Jennifer, I hope you can reconsider letting your ds go back to check his exam papers (just in case), some irresponsible kid might not do a proper job, especially if he/she is the \"easily confused\" sort. esp since I dun intend to go back to sch until collect report book day.

My dd got that too. Nice to know that SMRT is educating the schools on Safety.Hi parents,
I thought this is quite interesting. My dd brought home a colouring contest from school whereby she is supposed to colour the picture as well as give a feminine name to the Tunnel Boring Machine which will be involved in the construction of the MRT near PHPPS. The winner will have the suggested name printed onto the machine. -
Jennifer:
I also zero in on the wrong ones only.In the past, I only zero in those qns which my boy has given a wrong ans.
Ytd, my boy brou home a mock paper and some other practice papers for EL. To my horror, some \"correct\" ones were marked wrong and some \"wrong\" ones were marked correct.
Guess will have to look more thoroughly next time. -

Hi markfch, fyi i've replied you in pm on this.:offtopic:
I've a personal issue that needs to be resolve soon. I'm anglican & ds attends sunday sch in the afternoons at my church (btw, I only go church nowadays cos of sun sch but that's another story  ). Somehow he doesn't gel that well in the programme. Think he's only going there to stop my nagging.
I'm exploring other places that offers sun sch and one of them is Glory. I know that sun sch there starts at 9:30am. Can a kid whose not in Glory kindy attend sun sch there? Can someone share more info with me on this?
Pls pm me if it's more convenient to do so. Impt to me that I encourage ds to attend sun sch when young. Thanks. -

I stand corrected. Almost half of Fa3 turned up. But...Bt Timah Primary seems to be the biggest group. Impressive!
Since CH3 has 3/4 and FA3 has 1/4 through, that makes about 45 pupils from top 2 classes. That's not far off from Nan Hua (50) which I am sure has provided special training for their pupils... -
IJJ:
Really? My son said only about 11 from Fa3 went through 1st round. So I guess he was wrong too. he said Gr3 had 10.

then i wonder why everyone seems to use BTPS as second choice. Also the intake each year looks miserable...not even 100% -
Hi Parents,
Will you be transferring your children to schools with gifted classes should your kids get through the 2nd screening ? A friend of mine told me her friend transferred her son to Nanyang gifted class and was shocked that it’s so relaxing there…compared to the amt of homework at Pei Hwa. -

Only when confirm selected then we will talk about the options. Now, we just treat it as an exposure. Frankly, as long as we are in the Singapore Education system, I am skeptical about how relax a child can be.Hi Parents,
