I am glad, though you are a modern woman who has so much wisdom and foresight, you can still put down your deepest hurt and the family must first continue the family life. Bless you child is very mom like you
This applies to women too.. When they marry the first guy they meet, they also end up in EMA more easily.
I knew of an ex colleague who has several EMA without being caught by her husband and children at all! Every evening, there would b a luxury car waitin for her a few meters away from the work place. The \"mysterious\" guy would at times sent her to work and saw her 💋 him goodbye. Over the yrs, a few colleagues had spotted her with a few different men behaving affectionately but nobody dare to \"intrude\" into her affairs.... Another colleague who knew her husband told us that he is a nice guy who holds quite a high position in a govt related Corp. and is always busy at work ... Even then, he would spend every weekends with the family and played with the kids...
Perhaps she did it out of boredom, or perhaps she just want to \"prove\" she is still attractive or perhaps perhaps perhaps.......

*PS. Anyway, saw her the other day and she still looks happy but this time is with her teenage kids!

is a sure open door for temptation...esp if you have the resources and need to keep up with appearances ? 😎 😎

I forgot to add. He's very soft spoken and timid too.

hahaha...amused by this last bit (coz I really find quite true as this being one of the characteristics of some straying men I knew).

There is sort of a 'conclusion' among my girlfriends pertaining to what kind of men has the highest chance of straying:

              1. men who married their first girlfriend, and

              2. men who have never 'played' (in a sense having party / group outings kind of life) when they were 'young, meaning from young is 'Yes, Mother' then after married is 'Yes, Wife'. kind of men.

These 2 categories of men may stray around mid 40s (sort of suddenly wake up and realise there are so many interesting 'side' dish around and they just want to feel 'alive' and be a 'No' man for once instead of forever 'yeses' (this also applicable to kids who are usually kwai kwai kind and suddenly rebel coz just no fun to keep saying 'yes', 'yes', 'yes'...)

              How about this?

All men can stray equally, be it those who married their first gf, or those who married their 10th gf, be it those played a lot before marriage, or those never played before marriage.

But those that married their first gf, and never played before marriage, lack the experience and know-how to cover their tracks, and hence these are the ones that are uncovered by the world, and your girlfriends. Possible?

                路边的野花你不要采?

When given an enticing enough opportunity, I believe any man/woman will contemplate and/or attempt to stray.

Whether they action on it or not, it's their prerogative, with varied reasons.

I don't believe that there is a certain type of man/woman who would be more susceptible to temptation.

Rather, it takes a certain type of man/woman to resist temptation.

As for covering tracks, it's exhausting and tricky.

I've assisted (with apologies) gfs and bfs who strayed to covered their tracks with lies and diversions. Sooner rather than later, they are found out. Very sad and dramatic and of course tragic.

I would like to share a real life story…

I have a very good friend, who share the same primary school, secondary school, same poly, dropped out together, went to same JC etc.
We went through a lot of thick & thin together. What touches me the most is that he is always there for me when I am down. If I ever called him to take urgent leave to accompany me bec I needed someone to talk to, he always replied, " OK, wait for me at your office, I will come & fetch you" with no questions asked!!!

To cut story short, he was about 25 years old then, having a GF of >5years, a plain Jane girl. He got to know a rich man’s daughter, dumped his current GF, and be with the rich man’s daughter. This new GF has many surprises for him everyday! She can booked a trip without his knowledge & asked him to take urgent leave and off they GO! I could sense that kind of excitement in his life then. Soon, he’s was getting married soon, already sent out all invitation cards, looking forward to his marriage.

Had lunch with him one afternoon, everything was fine. The next day morning, his sister called me telling me my good friend has commited suicide in his own house! I was totally shocked & rushed down to his place. I saw him lying there motionless…After some investigations, I found out that he was having EMA. If i’m not wrong, he was ‘exposed’ that very night I had lunch with him. I believed that night was the worst day in his whole life! His world came crashing down! At that point of depression, when his wedding is just next month, I guessed he could not take it anymore but to choose this way of relief for himself in the middle of the night? Leaving his parents & his sister… Everyone cried buckets for him. Until today, I still didnt really know what happened on that tragic night! How I wished he had called me at that momment! Things may have changed!

I guessed we can pay a very high price for a moment of folly! Until today, I still miss him very very much…Sometimes I imagine him having a complete family by now , just like me, and we can go out together as families…

Isn’t it sad to end life in this manner just becoz of a mistake?

WHATEVER mistake it might have been, there is no need to die. Tragic!
