Just curious - is it true that having son or daughter can be 'manipulated' through the food we consume, our lifestyle and even the positions we make love, instead of an act of God?


I'm asking this cos some couples seem to have all boys, some all girls and a rare few were lucky to have boys and girls.

Any mummies and daddies would like to share?

For me, this should be pure act of God.

It's rare to have boys and girls :? Are you sure ? I took a moment to look around my circle of friends and relatives, and conclude about equal for all

I read some years ago they tried in Japan using centrifugal equipment to attempt segregating the X from the Y, one is supposedly heavier, hence the attempt, but not sure any success story or not

I am not in Bishan yet have a boy and a girl !!!

I have a friend who successfully conceive a boy by observing certain diet for the husband. Unfortunately, I can't remember which is which - more acidic food for boy or more alkaline food for boy. Of course, it could be pure coincidence too. To each his own.


By the way, I also have a chinese sinsei who told me that his dad (also a chinese sinsei) was able to manipulate the gender of baby... :shock:

When I had my 1st child (DS1), I went to this lady to help select a name for my son. Our family will go to her for choosing auspicious dates for weddings etc. She said my DS1 will bring siblings in alternate gender. True enough, I have a gal next and then my youngest one is a boy. I would love to have a fourth kid and hope #4 will be a gal like what the lady has predicted.
