My Gal Not So Lucky with their HCL P1 ....

For the Ming Ti Compo that she selected, apparently most of her classmates in the same banding class chosen this as well (the other Question is so Boring, No Challenge .... )
ALL except \"ONE\" kid in their class has written :offtopic:

        Wonder How they Grade ?
Heard they Straightaway \"AWARD\" Max 8 / 40 Marks, No Need to Mark the Paper at ALL ....
So Teacher warned them Many of them FAIL the paper .... :nosebleed:
Oh dear, only 8 marks for effort? Hope those kids don't get moralized and their parents don't stress them too much because of this.

E3, should i let my dd works on P3/P4 assessment books on Chinese? I hope it wouldn't frighten her away....Comprehension O & E and Composition are always the killing parts......

Hold on a minute, your dd is in P1 and you want to let her do P3/P4 assessments?

You are not frightening her hor. You are frightening us  .

P1 do P4 work, P2 do P5/6 work. Then what's she going to do when she's in P3?

Agree! My dd was beaming ear to ear when she went up on stage the last 2 yrs. But she knew this year she wont be able to go onstage again. However, I encouraged her & reminded her its most impt to have tried her best & we are v proud of her as long as she had worked hard. Its such a long journey of learning for them, so I'm more concerned of teaching them self-studying skill then spoonfeeding them. But I am stil a culprit of spoonfeeding and drilling, which is quite stressful for our relationships some times.

            Ditto that

and your DS is only K2 .... :faint: :faint:[/quote]walau vk2010, exposing me seems to be your favourite pass time

Does that mean you will be letting her do P4 compre O&E next yr :!:
I was just thinking of asking her to finish doing P3 compre O &E assessment book. Perhaps jump to P5 one and give her a shock, he!he!
              Do you teach her yourself?

I teach her mostly. Actually, she was using a P4 compo practise book. I felt it's closer to her class's standard. She has half mark deducted for CL pp1. 😎

E3, should i let my dd works on P3/P4 assessment books on Chinese? My dd did the one ζˆ‘ζ˜―ι˜…θ―»η†θ§£ι«˜ζ‰‹ (Comprehension Champion). This book has questions focussed on asking only own opinions and analytical questions. The only problem is there will be some characters that she had not learnt but understanding is still fine.

She has other P2 HCL assessment books like the ones I had formally posted.

As for the P4 compo book, she uses ζˆ‘δΌšηœ‹,想,写 (Look.Think.Write) The scenarios are based on 4 pictures. From what I had gathered from her class practises, they are writing the compo like a full compo although it was just based on one picture. So, 4 pictures or one picture, she needs to have all the right elements to writing a good story.

Just to clarify, since markfch was so \"shocked\", you are referring to next year, right?

I'm slowly getting used to php \"shocking\" me with his posts. I'm trying my best to get used to it.

Jokes aside, it's because I know him & his dd personally that's why I dare to tease him here. I know he won't mind, rite php? :celebrate:
