I was there and stayed at Amara Hotel a few months’ back… I found that it is really expensive anywhere on the island ever since the new developments opened there.

Amara is nice, though. I booked it directly with the hotel at their websites. They sometimes have good discounts/packages.

              Hi,

I stayed at Amara, found it nice and the swimming pools captivated the kids. However, just this year, my hubby took me to Capella for my birthday celebration. It was THE BEST!! It costs quite a bit, if you do not mind spending, must really give it a try.

You will feel very very rested. The service is excellent, they have an assistant for every room to help you with whatever you need. When they found out it was my birthday, the manager gave a special gift from the spa- a body moisturizer to me and sent it to the room. The room service was also very generous. When they knew what we wanted was not available, they made extra effort to make something that we would still like. The pools are very nice, hardly anyone in them and you feel its very private. The children like them too. They also have a special library where you can borrow DVDs for free and watch them in your room.

Of course, it is the most ex hotel in sentosa I think but really worth it. If you can, do try to go at least once in your life.

                didn’t like amara at all!

we took the Courtyard Suite. super jia-lat. lots of mosquitoes!!
                yes, even in the room!!!
besides mosquitoes, there were other bugs and millipedes in the room.
                so angry.

in the end, we didn’t even use the outdoor bath at all cos we don’t want to be fed on by the mosquitoes.

on the hand, our experience at Sentosa Resort and Spa was very pleasant.

The room's very small and the slide is very dangerous. My son hit his head while sliding down into the pool. The breakfast was fine
