      Hi mrswongtuition,

Thanks for the prompt and useful advise. That's a real headache. Need to do some serious planning here. Either while DS1 is away on camp or park them at grandmas.

Do you have a contractor to recommend ? Looks like I may need a cleaning agent too cos I do not have a maid and I don't think I can manage the cleaning, not to mention 3 days.

Marble polish ? secondary liao. Too many bulky furniture to shift.

Have been staying here for 6 years and think it needs to do some serious cleaning liao. :?:

My mum’s marble floor polishing was part of her reno package, so not too sure how much it costs.

My parquet flooring (3 bedrooms) was $450 for varnishing, no sanding. Sanding is additional $100/room.
Need to take note that sometimes after sanding, it might be uneven (they sand too much at a certain spot).
My ID arranged for it, so I don’t have the contractor’s contact.

Sosomum, my bro was telling me that the contractor can help to shift everything into 1 room, then polish the living room, shift everything out then polish the rooms for the marble flooring. Also, need to see the quality of the flooring, some cannot be grinded/polished.

For the parquet flooring, I think the contractor is called Jason Parquet or something like that (according to my brother).

                Hi.

Do you have any contractor to recommend for sanding/polish parquet and grinding/polish marble?

                Thank you,

Hahaha... I usually would be the one that say waitttttt because I don't like to prepare and clean up the mess 😄

Finally get it done. Not as messy as i thought.

The contractor provides big plastic sheets to cover the wardrobe and built-in.
You need to carefully unwrapped and sealed the dust inside.
The smell was bad for the first day, and lingers for 3 days after.
A one-man show, took about 5 hours to complete two rooms.
He did a satisfactory job and the floor is now polished and smooth.
                      Just sharing. 😄
