Yes My dd in P1 received the note, No school for all level on the 11 Nov Thurs. -

Yup, got the note 2
it said that its a Promotion cum Marking day and all children need not report to sch as teachers will be involved in matters related to pupil's promotion for 2011.......

Thank you, Trapwithin and shuting28. She will probably receive it next week. Her class was 'busy' watching movies, playing board games and having extended PE. :lol:

The Principal is just gathering feedback on doing that in view of the implementation of PERI. I believe they will probably make a decision on the 11th Nov in view of the promotion of P1-P5.
The general idea is to promote a more holistic approached in comparison to the current accessment-approach. The Prinicpal is also concern about the comparison among the students about which classes they are from.
Apparantly, being in the top 4 classes, is like differentiating them from the others which is not a very healthy comparison.
Those with more info can share more .... like php ....

I took out the P3 class photos to count no. of girls in top classes.
Confirmed more girls than boys in CH3 and FA3.
Also found out Kindness, Loyalty and Patience 3 have less than 40 pupils in a class whereas the other classes hv an avg of 40. -
