My niece started to use similac since birth and she had constipation. So the mother changed to Friso and condition is much better. Not all kids are the same so you have to depend on your kid whether the milk is suitable to the kid.

My girl has been drinking Friso since birth and she does not have any constipation. 😄

Agree. My nephew used to drink S26, the FM that most pple say will give constipation, but he was fine. When switch to Gain, he had bad constipation. So it depends very much on the kiddy. Best to try and get some samples from your doctor before getting a can and ended up wasting it.

        :celebrate:

Anyway, my gal had BM for 6 mths. Afterwhich we started her on enfalac but her stools became very hard. We tried Similac and situation improved. She's now on Gain IQ.

We last used milk powder like in year 1994/1995 for our elder girl. Subsequent kids all breastfed, so it was to our great shock when we saw prices of infant milk powder in the supermarket recently. Whoa, Similac used to be like S$19.90 for the large can, now it's like S$30! Even our packets of instant noodles have not increased by that much!

          Thankfully baby is breastfed. 🙏

Interesting replies… I guess every baby is different. Anyway, does anyone know what causes the prices of formula milk to go up & down?

Just checked the price of Gain 1Q (1 year & up) and it’s suddenly gone up by $2 for the 1.8kg can :!: Just cant believe it!

Actually, my DD1 was underweight when she was little and took Pediasure at the recommendation of her paediatrician. I find that it didn't really help her gain weight and until now, she’s still as thin as ever.

Hi Sunflower, I know what you mean, my DD2 has been tiny since birth and even after 2 years of Pediasure still so tiny. Don't know where did all the 'good stuff' go to??

I decided that we will bite the bullet and stick to it... at the back of our minds, maybe if not for pediasure, could even be even thinner if that is possible?!! 😢

I had the same experience too.
Are you aware that some clinics sell pediasure ( 400ml) by the carton (24 cans). This will work out to be cheaper than NTUC. You can trying asking your paediatrician.

Do u mean 400g? Clinics normally sell around same price as NTUC, it just that you get like 2 cans free with a carton purchased. Which worked out to be cheaper. BTW, Pedisaure prices increased again. the 1.8kg (purple top) used to be $59.75 is now $62.50.

I tot of changing their milk formula cos both of them seem v skinny. Both are slighty under weight for their age.

                      Pls advise.
