I’m a dad and I’m making most of the decisions. I enjoy being in control though but there are some people who disobey my rules! :x

Good that some of you dads are taking control of your children's lives. However, not all dads are like this. Your wives are really lucky....they did not need to make any major decisions regarding children unlike most of us here...

I guess mummies feel the extra pressure coz somehow we are always worrying about our kids. Not that the daddies don’t think about their kids, but not ALL the time!
We practice specialization in our home. I take care of the day to day running of the household a keeping track of kids’s schedule, when to do laundry, what groceries to buy, etc. But my hubby takes care of our finances - budgeting, making sure bills are paid, investments etc.
We make decisions jointly, but usually one party has to do the research and the rest of the leg work and present the options for discussions. It’s usually the one who is more knowledgeable or anxious about it (eg I did research on music class, he did research on soccer class). I must confess though, sometimes when I have done all my homework and have identified what I think is a brilliant solution, then he’ll throw up other concerns, questions and options. And I get so annoyed because I just want him to rubber stamp the decision and not make me go and do more work to address those concerns! But in the end, we usually reach a better outcome.
I’m generally happy with the arrangement, though I will complain to my DH that I do a lot. if i’m overwhelmed i ask for help. and when I really feel unappreciated, I just stop doing his laundry This helps me let off steam.
