Class 95 FM DJs-against students bowing to teacher/principal

Does anyone listen to the radio this morning class 95 FM. They were discussing about against students bowing to school teachers and principal as it is teaching the children 'submission' to higher authorities :shock: :shock: :shock: ..one of the male DJs is so against it and he mentioned something like... it is as if making him bowing to toilet bowl. I was so shocked to hear what they are talking about and my ds who was with me then in my car said 'ya ...no need to bow to the teachers lliao..' jokingly. Some people including teacher fax in or sms to them saying it is ok about this bowing 'culture' as it is teaching the kids about respect...

Aiyo I think the DJ is showing the wrong example to the kids..

My son has to do that in his school..he was taught to do that since P1.

used to be still tolerable but slowly found their comments rather ridiculous and irresponsible…have since moved on to gold 90…hahahha…became ah pek already!

Honestly, I don’t mind my child doing that…but the teacher or the principal should acknowledge that. It’s mutual respect.

I am a great fan of Class 95 fm. And i enjoy the voices of the trio!

What the DJ said is his opinion.

While i do not object bowing to higher authority, i do not think it is necessary, unless one’s culture requires one to bow.
I believe it is not in the Singaporean culture to bow.
However students should greet teachers and school staff politely and the staff should acknowledge them too.
Also educators should set good example to their students too.

i used to enjoy the pair of bananas


later on add 1 gal in now i find the trio v noisy like all wanna speak at the same time

i din notice it but every morning or when hb comes pick me, the 1st thing i do when i get in is to automatically tune down the volume
