Woman attacked by gang in Yishun

      By Amanda Wong

A 26-year-old woman was enjoying happy hour with two male friends at Ginza Pub in Yishun along Sembawang Road on November 10 when the unexpected happened.

She was approached by a group of five women and one man in their late 20s, who asked if she belonged to a gang.

When she said no, the gang started attacking her with glass bottles and knives.

She suffered multiple slashes on her face, arms and legs, and was sent to the hospital.

Her two male friends were also injured while trying to protect her.

The victim said no one came to her rescue during the attack. The pub management did nothing to mediate the situation until the police and the ambulance arrived.

This attack comes after two gang attacks that have resulted in one death, 7 injured and nearly 40 arrests.

[quote]SINGAPORE: Four more youths have been arrested as part of the ongoing police clampdown on gangs.

The four - two boys and two girls - are between 14 and 18 years old.

They were found with offensive weapons when they were arrested at Coasta Sands Chalet in Pasir Ris at about 12.05am Saturday.

One of them was found with a kitchen chopper hidden under his shirt. Another chopper was recovered from the handbag of one of the girls.

The four are believed to be involved in gang activities. All will be charged in court on Monday.

If convicted, they could be jailed up to three years and given up to six strokes of the cane.

The Commander of Bedok Police Division said: \"Police will continue with our enforcement actions against gangs. Youth offenders will not be treated lightly simply because of their age and there will be no leniency for those who disregard the law. All gang behaviour will be dealt with firmly and decisively by the Police.\"

Police are stepping up enforcement on gang-related activities after vicious attacks in Pasir Ris and Bukit Panjang left one teen dead and several others injured.

Teenage girl arrested for loanshark harassment

SINGAPORE : Police have arrested an 18—year—old girl, believed to be involved in loanshark harassment.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division arrested her on Saturday morning after follow—up investigations.

They found in her possession items including a mobile phone, believed to contain debtors’ records, as well as markers and bottles of paint.

The teenager is allegedly involved in several harassment cases where the front doors of debtors’ units were set on fire.

She will be charged in court on Monday.

If convicted of loanshark harassment, she can be jailed up to five years and fined a maximum of $50,000. — CNA /ls

If convicted of murder, they face the death penalty.\"

Look at their lawyers... quite big shots... so these youth gangsters are all from well-to-do families?
