My time would come in 2 yrs time... and counting....
Planning to prepare my son from P5 (nxt yr) on. Any of your child has tuition/home tutors help?
Any good recommendation of home tutor for Maths and Science, please? :?: -
Hans:
Sorry for the late reply. I buy 10 year series and O Leve reference books for my DD who is in Sec2 next yr taking the IP course.
Hi mummyjoyce,mummyjoyce:
Before the end of PSLE; I got big plan for my DD after PSLE. Like asked her to read novels; enrol her to Public Speaking course, cooking classes etc etc. Hai.... Hai...
Nothing happen.
Jail Break her ITouch and that is it!!!
May I check with you, so far did you find any assessment book suitable for IP student? ie, for science, math & english.. -
OngMum:
I remembered calling up this company; I did not consider as the foundation class contains a mix from stduents from K2 to Pre U... I think the age gap is too huge.
Hi mummyjoyce, have you enrolled your girl for public speaking programme already? I know of a place and not too sure if it is good. It is Academy IG and its link is http://www.academyig.com/.mummyjoyce:

I did not call up to enquiry but I read from its website, the response was overwhelming that they have opened new class (fourth run).
Did you enroll your daughter elsewhere for public speaking programme?

My son just hang around and play X box or his PSP all day.
I brought a few books but he doesn’t like reading them now as he has stop reading almost a year since his P5/P6.

Roundeyes:
I have drawn up a holiday time table for DD to follow, home tuitions have started too, so DD has to complete tuitors homework and some of mine too. Also asked her to watch Chinese news and read new paper to know what's happening around us. She supposes to report 2 news to us every day. Hopefully this helps to kill time in holidays, of course she has her computer time, reading time and going to neighbour house for playing. My son just hang around and play X box or his PSP all day.

I do the same thing to my ds but after a short while he stop to \"obey\" the time table and instead of watching news he switch to others. appreciate any advice.[I have drawn up a holiday time table for DD to follow, ..

DD also never follow time table closely, asked her to study 5 Chinese idioms a day, she reduced to 3, understand there will be 250 idioms to learn in Sec 1. The only books she was happy to read were some literature books. The Geography guide she was like reading it in leisure. My aim was only trying to get her interested with the new subject. English theme vocabulary assessments books are the best to start our kids for English, I guess, DD was quite interested to do the book. I have included some rewards like outings to the zoo, explorerkids, movies of her choice, organizing some Christmas parties,

Any one has any idea how to prepare for Sec 1 HML? DD Chinese not so powerful and yet she wants to take.
